BEST BBQ YOU'VE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got this box meal which had little bit of everything- just a note- it took 4 people 4 separate times to finish all this food- box meal consisted of: half pound brisket, half rack ribs, half pound pulled pork, half pound of meatloaf, half pound jalepeño sausage,4 chicken cupcakes, 4 sides, 4 drinks. Sides we ordered were smoked potato salad, mac n cheese, coleslaw. Also ordered extra half pound of brisket and a quarter pound of double smoked bacon. They also had that same meal cut in half for like 2 people just a heads up. Box meal was $65. All together like $85. Regular prices for good bbq. Just like seafood- isn't really cheap. But it's amazing though- absolutely worth every penny! Think the half size for 2 people was $30ish or so- and you can order anything by pound as well.
Food reviews:
Brisket: 9.9/10. Quite awesome. Not fatty at all(like a few other bbq places). Was sliced good- all meat- all delicious. Impressed
Ribs: 10/10. Jesus man- meatier than any other I've tried- 100000% tender. Just amazing all around
Pulled pork: 10/10. This was the surprise of it all. It's not chopped up small like at famous Dave's- or other places I've been. I actually mistaked it for the brisket at first- looked almost identical. Was sliced just like it. It literally melted in your mouth. Shocking too- because that was cheaper than the ribs and brisket lol. Was definitely the star of the night
Meatloaf: 9.8/10. I've never had smoked meatloaf in my entire life. I usually throw some ketchup on it when I make it at home - this needed nothing but a little bbq. Was pretty darn good if your a fan of meatloaf
Chicken cupcakes: 9.8/10. Was crazy man- they look like these little round ball shape things. Looked it up online- it's pretty much the chicken thigh all deboned- they wrap some seasonings inside it somehow- wrap it all together so nothing comes apart- and smoke it. I really dug these- as they were little spicy inside- right up my alley lol.
Sauces: 8/10. they had 2- a bbq one and a mustard based one. Nothing to write home about- both were good but I've had better. Were good enough- satisfying.
Double smoked bacon: 10/10. Stuff was thick- and smoky. You could eat pounds of it if you wanted lol. You would think it would be really rich- nope. Smoky awesomeness
Sides: 9.7/10. Best coleslaw I've ever had(not even a coleslaw kinda guy). Was creamy and delicious. Smoked potato salad/ was insane. Had a weird texture to them- maybe because those little potatoes were smoked- def my fav side. Mac n cheese: 7/10. Underwhelming. I think it was queso too or something. Slightly spicy but not really. Def had better.
Jalapeño sausage: 9.9/10. Very tender- just spicy enough. Very delicious if you like that kinda thing.
Overall: this place gets a 9.9/10. Only knock on it: not really a restaurant- and you have to get there by 2 on the weekends to ensure you get everything you want. Sauces could be little better- but I'm nitpicking here- can't find anything negative to say about this place. Absolutely loved it!!!
This place beats them all- sorry mission, dickey's, mable's, etc. You are all 1 step behind Barabicu.
The shocking part of it all was everything was awesome- not one thing was even close to mediocre. Wow- just wow... They use real wood to smoke their food- not no electric smokers(I can taste the difference believe it or not lol). Were about 24 folding chairs to sit inside- but is mostly a take out place. Food even was still amazing the day after too. Sides were big portions. We ordered that box meal- dude gives us like $10 in free bacon to try. I wish I ordered more lol. HIGHLY recommended. They also do catering- both my kids said they want that for their bday meals when they come up lol. I dare you to find better bbq in Cleveland- because you won't. Thank you Barabicu. You put a never ending smile...
Read moreI'm 15 minutes out from my 1st visit and things were so phenomenal I deemed necessary immediately to write my praises and recommendations!
I was fortunate enough to just miss the 45min line. As I walked in I was greeted by the gentleman at the counter and I mentioned it was my first time here. I said I know what I am going to get but do you have any recommendations that would be hands down your best. He looks back at the other gentleman filling the orders and said yup I'll be right back. They brought me a sample of sausage and two types of bacon.
Now I love American BBQ, I'd like to think I'm an aficionado. I've tried many BBQ joints in many states, from corporate to smaller "mom and pop" shops. Obviously the niche smaller places make some BBQ that will blow your mind. The samples they had me try blew my taste buds and mind. Especially the cubed bacon, best bacon I have had in the 40 yrs I've been alive! So on top of the full slab of ribs, pound of brisket, I of course had to now get some bacon lol. It was def worth it.
My honest opinion is out of all the places I have tried around the country Barabicu is the best I have tried so far next to a small place in Surfside South Carolina which Barabicu just overtook as the #1 BBQ IN THE COUNTRY. In my opinion of course, but again I am an aficionado of BBQ lol
I've lived in Parma for years and I am so mad at myself (and especially my dad who knows I love BBQ and has been here numerous times)that I never knew this place was 4 minutes away from home. I was eating the non comparable competition (that is still good) for the past decade or whenever Barabicu opened. I don't want to know how long I've been missing this gem. With that said, I'm glad I finally made my way over. I tried the past 2 Saturdays, but this place is different. They have different hours, closed some days during the week, and I'm pretty sure once they sell out for the day, they close up shop, which is perfectly fine. As a smaller business in today's economy (who provides the best food in Parma) it's their prerogative for them to have a different approach to running their business efficiently to eliminate waste and maximize profit.
They opened today (Saturday) at 11am and I made the decision to head over at noon, I'm so glad I finally made it. The place is extremely popular from those in the know. Make sure you make the best choices of when to go to ensure you get what you want to eat. I promise you, it's well well well worth it! Hence the 4.8 rating on Google which is pretty hard for a business, especially the food business to do. Great customer service and the best smoked food you can eat in the city of Parma.
I am pretty sure I was interacting with the owners, I apologize for not asking.yojr names or introducing myself. I just want to say thanks for the phenomenal experience. Customer service and your food is on point. You've gained a new customer for as long as you're open or I'm living within an hour of your location. As much as I want to keep it a secret all for myself I'll definitely be doing some word of mouth advertising for ya. You can't keep good food like this, let alone the best BBQ in the country, a secret. You'll see me again in the very near future.
Good stuff guys, thanks...
Read moreIf you find yourself in Parma on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and head straight to Barabicu Smokehouse — but make sure you get there early! This place is so popular, they often sell out of everything and trust us, you don’t want to miss out. The beef brisket is absolutely to die for — tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. Pair it with their vinegar mustard sauce, and you’re in barbecue heaven. Not to mention everything else they had that we didn’t get this time. We’ll be back. And don’t skip the macaroni and cheese — it’s creamy, cheesy, and the ideal side...probably the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had. The best part? Danny, the owner, is an incredibly friendly guy who genuinely cares about his food and customers. His passion for great barbecue and top-notch service is evident in every bite. So get there early, and make sure you’re not the one who misses out on this...
