About 3 years ago I came to this place and man oh man was it awkward. The dude that works there is weird. So we are just browsing around and he is just sitting there staring off in space. Not sure if he was stoned or what, but he was just zoning out. It was really intriguing. I found it hard to concentrate on searching through his wares as I kept finding myself looking back at this phenomenon. Anyway we found a few items to buy. Just a couple packs of cards. We go to get rung up and he says he can't put it on debit unless it's a purchase of 5 bucks and up. Understandable, so I tell my sister in law to find another card she may want. The guy looks at me and says: You don't have to feel obligated to buy from me. LOL he thought it was a pity buy at this point. It really wasn't because I wanted my card packs, but I guess he felt the need to point that out.
Flash forward 3 years later. I go there again. My business was actually with a place that serves terrible gyros next door (I didn't know that at the time btw) however I was intrigued to see if I got the creepy zoning out guy again. Jackpot. He was a little less zoned out this round though. Maybe he was sober. Anyways we looked at some of his card packs, and glasses. Nothing good so it was time to move on. As we are leaving I say "Thanks have a good day!" to which he replies: "Can I help you with anything?" I think this dude got it backwards because thats the question you ask when you enter the establishment, not when leaving. He didn't bother asking the whole 5 minutes we were there, and then now decides? Such a...
Read moreLet me start by saying I’m all about small businesses as the reason why I went to this location to purchase some sports cards rather than going to target or Walmart to do so. The reason I feel the need to leave a review…I arrive at this location in the afternoon on Saturday, there’s a gentleman in line that is just rambling about random things. It’s OK to talk and what not but when you have a customer, that’s ready to spend 200 $300 for a box of cards it’s foolish to not prioritize the guy that’s ready to spend money at your store rather than rambling about collectible Bourbon this left a horrible taste in my mouth. I’ll never go to this location again!!! prioritize your paying customers first that are waiting in line standing right in front of you. Very sickening....
Read moreThis is one of those old school comic book shops that I wish still existed everywhere. If you're looking for back issues of unique books like I was, this is your place. They also have a ton of card collectibles and various other knick knacks. I was able to find some key books that I've been looking for that I never really wanted to order on eBay. The guy that runs the place was super friendly and helpful and it's good to see someone like this still dedicated to running a comic book shop.
Pricing was pretty fair but you do get a thumb through a ton of books. One good thing is that everything was fairly well categorized and in alphabetical order so that really helps. We'll definitely be coming back to this place the next time I'm in town. Check out my video of how...
