I'm planting my flag. Best breakfast burrito in LA.
For context, this is in comparison to Tacos Villa Corona, Tacos Por Favor, Lucky Boy, Cafe Los Feliz, Delia's, and Dino's.
Don't let the name "Dena Burgers" fool you, this is a Mexican food place that also does burgers. For the bfast burrito - the sausage/bacon is optional (I personally go sausage), but getting two of the "spicy green" salsas is not. Very hot avocado/habanero situation. Not for the faint of heart but worth the pain.
If Villa Corona is a 1/10 on the size scale and Lucky Boy is 10, then this is a 5 or 6. Perfect for a meal and doesn't ruin your day. Inside are scrambled eggs, American cheese, hash browns, and an optional choice of meat. The tortilla is soft and malleable in that almost see-through way, and it's always packed tightly and won't fall apart on you. Simple. They screw nothing up. 10/10
P.S. If you aren't feeling breakfast, this place has totally competent non-breakfast too. I recommend...
Read moreHORRIBLE service. I’d give them no stars if I could! I ordered ahead 2 Chili cheese fries and got this. When I called back the woman that answered tried to argue with me that I was wrong and I didn’t order chili cheese fries. That I ordered only cheese fries. She actually tried an argue with me. Then when she checked the order she saw I ordered chili cheese fries and didn’t try to accommodate. I was willing to go back and pick up chili cheese fries, she said she’d only give me chili. My fries at this point are cold. I asked her for fresh fries, seeing that this was not my fault but theirs and she said no. Really!?!? Worse customer service! Never has anyone ever said to eat the food that they messed up. These are already over priced! After a long day at work all I wanted was to enjoy some chili cheese fries. Sad! $7.75 per order of fries. $15 lost because she has no customer...
Read moreFood is good, but the taxes and hidden fees they tack on is ridiculous. Used to get food here all the time and they would give you the green little salsa free of charge. They started charging 75 cents for more than one salsa. I was annoyed. Then I ordered a third and said “screw it”, might as well pay since I want it want. I get 17 cents back, only to find out they charge taxes on top of the salsa?! Wtf! It’s a rip off. I gave them a dollar for the third salsa expecting 25 cents back for them to tell me they charge taxes on a little salsa I probably should just start making on my own...
