La Estrella Tacos #1 — Restaurant in Pasadena

The Food is Great but the service at this location sucks! I have no complaints about the food. Quality and portions are nice but THE SERVICE?! 🤔 The cashier that was there today (9/8 @ 4:30, young w/bun and blonde on the tips) acted as though u were bothering her ...like she didn't want to be there. If that's the case, then stay home. Paying customers do not want to feel as though they are not welcomed or appreciated in this establishment. The other ladies working during this time aren't much better. I was in the middle of placing my order and a worker from the back comes up to chit-chat and ask for change. Instead of the rude cashier telling her to wait, she turned from me and went under the counter to get her change and THEN proceeded to hold a 60 sec conversation with this lady. 😨 I was like are u serious?! 😬 Once done with her friend, she took the remainder of my order. As i waited, this cashier did the same thing to two other customers that came in behind me. How sad! I go out of my way to come here and this is the service i get?! I won't go out of my way to come here any more...its just not worth it! Get it...

I've been here weekly since about 2015. The prices have stayed pretty reasonable even with inflation on the up currently. Carnitas and asada tacos are my go to and they're served with either red or green salsa (it comes directly on the taco unless you ask for it on the side), lots of fresh onions and cilantro, limes, and a handful of radish slices. Throw some iodized salt on the radishes and pop one in your mouth then thank me later. You will leave here smelling like whatever you order so keep that in mind. As for the location... they don't exactly police their dining room so you end up with solicitors or the unhoused meandering around or through the eating area. They don't typically run the heat so keep that in mind as well. Anyway, you're here for the food right? Right. LA Estrella tacos is a great place to eat Mexican food I have been going to LA Estrella seen 1999 when I first move here and that was the place that I ask my wife to be my wife. Well actually was the one on Fair oaks. Well my experience today wasn't that pleasant because of the cashier, first I pay him with my debit card and the men didnt even ask me if was debit or credit just run it as credit and listo. O ask him why he didn't ask me how I wanted to use my card. So I ask him .why he run it with out letting me know how was going to run it. The cashier was rude and unprofessional.
