I am very sorry to leave this review, but I want other consumers to know about the experience I had at BLVD Nursery. I went to BLVD to buy an investment plant, a 15-foot bird of paradise that cost $400. I also paid an additional $60 for delivery. I came into the nursery and explained that I had an issue with mealybugs on my prior bird of paradise, and I would like to replace it, but I was nervous about picking a healthy plant and definitely didn't want to deal with mealies anymore. The sales associate assured me that none of the plants in the nursery had mealies. A few days after delivery, I noticed mealybugs on the leaves of my new (very expensive) plant, as well as a slick surface coating many of the leaves that is indicative of mealybugs. I work a highly demanding job and was not able to call BLVD until about two weeks later (partially because their operating hours are very limited and by the time I got off work each night, they were closed). The sales clerk informed me that because it had been two weeks since purchase, there was nothing they could do, and that their plants at the nursery had no mealybugs. These terms were not disclosed to me at checkout. It would have been easy for BLVD to replace my plant with a healthy one, especially after they blatantly lied to me about the quality of their plants, but they insisted that their hands were tied. Read moreThis place has very good reputation but my experience was pretty bad. It was mostly a problem with communication. They told me they were busy and I was not in a hurry to get my lawn mower running again.
But after 3 weeks I had not heard from them so I tried to call them. Could not get anyone to answer the phone. So I drove down there only to find out they were waiting for an approval, which they do not get because they never called me.
He told me it would be ready in a couple days, but when I got there the service manager had neglected to tell the technician that I had approved the repair so it was not done.
After telling me it would be ready in a couple more days, I drove down there after 4 days only to find out that it was not done because they could not find the diaphragm for the carburetor. Once again, they never called me.
So after for 5 days I called again and amazingly they answer the phone and lo and behold they had found the part and it was finished. Yay, but wouldn't it be normal for a repair shop to call you and let you know the problem was solved in the repair was finished?
In over a month, I never received one phone call from them. To explain what was going on. The manager's excuse was that they were very busy, but to me that's just an excuse because they have apparently no protocol 4 communication with customers.

When servicing equipment they take the time to explain fixes and tips on how to keep you machines running smooth. Their nursery is awsome. When I take the kids they say they want to walk in the jungle. They have all kinds of plants including seasonal annuals. I recommend to my clients to come here because I know it is a great place.
