GoGo Sushi is an all around winner if you want high-quality sushi at reasonable prices plus friendly service. This is a family-run restaurant and you’ll feel like a member from the hospitality you’ll receive when you walk in. The current owner and her outstanding staff, which includes her kids, have helped her provide delicious sushi to the Pasadena community for over 15 years! I had the Rainbow Roll, some buttery pieces of Uni and some deliciously tart pieces of Mackerel. I couldn’t help myself and got some cut rolls of spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail! The crab mix center base they use for their larger rolls is perfectly balanced, not too sweet and but flavorful enough to complement whatever ingredients added to it. In my case of the Rainbow Roll, I had all the different types of fish and it was so good. You don’t need to dunk anything in soy sauce. Just try placing a dab of wasabi on top and you’re good to go. I had a lot of cold dishes but their menu is vast with hot dishes as well. I was getting pretty full, but I also tried some tasty fried calamari, washed that down with a piping hot bowl of miso soup, enjoyed some conversation with my friends and then finished with a scoop of smooth creamy ice cream. I will definitely be going back and I hope you will try this Pasadena gem ASAP. Plenty of parking and in a fun area in case you need to take a walk after...
Read moreBait and switch, I have been a customer of this place in the past but today they pulled a bait and switch on me with a phone order. Apparently they changed their menu online and did not remove their old menu. So the prices went up and they would not honor their old menu prices. Seriously eating out with all of these greedy people has become a pain, and it's always the ones with mediocre food that are always trying to jack. Their old menu was just right for the portions they were serving as well as the so called extras added to the rolls, now they are just plain stupid and will never get my business again. Pasadena's food scene is becoming a clip joint with inconsistent food and un...
Read moreThis place has changed over the years, so it is time to update my review. I had not visited GoGo in quite sometime--perhaps 4 years. I was craving their yummy crispy, and at the time, I thought that would be the only thing I would get. Instead I dipped my feet back in and was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of the food was exceptional! The yummy crispy was even more amazing!!! It is the best I've ever had! I got more adventurous the next two visits! I had the sashimi and sushi platter, and I am happy to say that it was likewise incredible! GoGo is now one of my go-to sushi spots--a coveted award I am sure. Yes, it is no longer the home of the $3-roll, and believe me, that is...
