Food was fine. The lady at the counter is very rude. Snapped at me "get away from the counter". Even though we were both wearing masks. After we got our order. We sat at a table outside of their stand and started eating. The same lady shouts out the window "you cant eat here go away". To which I had no response before we could pack up our 13 dollar combo, her son was standing over us. I told him please tell your mother she should learn how to speak to her customers. It was rude. He immediately started cursing at me saying no your rude. My male co-worker ,An ex marine immediately started yelling back at him. As I walked back to the car. I wanted no part of the scene. The two men were shouting back and forth at one another . The son started video taping my friend as he walked back to my car. Then I who was not involved at all was also taped. Luckily the old man came to get his son so we drove off. Luckily it didnt escalate into anything physical. I think it's a sign of the times. Maybe they have experienced discrimination as Asian Americans before which is why it escalated so quickly to a shouting match. Either way it made me sad I wasted money patronizing a mom and pop shop instead of an In and out burger only to be talked to like a dog after combined, spending 30 on a couple burgers and soggy fries. This should never be the new normal. Bad customer service is...
Read moreThis is, in my opinion, the greatest cheeseburger on the planet. Period.
I love cheeseburgers. unembarrassed, i say to you: They are my favorite thing to eat. I could eat them breakfast lunch and dinner. Every. Day.
Super Burger makes the quintessential burger.
It is California style, crisp iceberg lettuce, always red tomato, thousand island (i think), American cheese. The beef is a coarse grind, so juicy, cooked medium. The bun is toasted lightly.
With or without grilled onions, this thing is just THE American cheeseburger.
Make it a combo with golden brown crinkle cut fries fried to order. Wash it down with a coke.
This is my childhood dream snack bar. This is my last meal. I've been to 60+ countries, 31 states in the US, and, be sure, I've sampled more than my fair share of burgers throughout my life and travels. This is my favorite cheeseburger in the world.
I left LA 4 years ago, dreamed of Super Burger often, finally came back for a visit and it was a must eat. A pilgrimage. And eating it was a religious experience that suited my pilgrimage.
Thank you, Super Burger. I can't wait for my...
Read moreI left my review on Yelp but I cannot stress enough about the bad service from this place. I've gone there about 5 or 6 times since last year and I have to say 3 out of those times the younger Asian kid that takes orders is just a prick. His Mom or the older woman that's there usually rushes you to order but the kid is just another level of rude. He has no idea of what customer service is, would be out in the street if this was his daily bread. Every time and almost everyone that comes up gets some sort of snarky remark and rushes you to order. I am a very passive person but this guy puts my nerves on edge, makes me want to drag his ass out of that little shop and show him some manners. I do enjoy the food here, sometimes their burgers are kinda medium well and some people don't like that but the service and the attitude is just gonna be the end to this business... Yelp it and see the other horrible reviews people give this. (Oh and did I say they don't care about...
