I am deeply moved by the extraordinary kindness and support we received during a time of immense sorrow. On May 18th, my beloved daughter passed away unexpectedly at the tender age of 33. As our cherished friends and family from Texas and Mississippi gathered in Moss Point to honor her memory, we found ourselves faced with the urgent task of organizing a memorial service. In our desperate hour, we reached out to Tay's BBQ, and their response was nothing short of remarkable.
Even though we approached them at the very last minute, Tay's BBQ immediately offered their assistance without hesitation. With no inquiries or conditions, they simply asked for the address and took charge of everything. They not only provided the catering we needed but also took complete responsibility for all the arrangements of getting the food to us, urging us to focus on being with our family while they attended to every detail.
Being a stranger to the people at Tay's, their display of compassion and generosity left me profoundly astounded. Although I know little about this remarkable man, his employees, or the inner workings of Tay's, what I do know is that their act of kindness has touched me to the core. It is difficult to express in words the depths of gratitude I feel towards the individuals who comprise this outstanding establishment. In a time when our country seems burdened by troubles, they serve as a shining example of the goodness and love that still exist among fellow human beings.
To each and every person at Tay's, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Your benevolence has left an indelible mark on my heart. May God shower His abundant blessings upon all of you, and may your lives continue to be a beacon of hope and...
Read moreTay's BBQ was SMACK DAB between our cousins and us; a 1hr and 41minute drive (each), to be exact. They'd already driven 7 hours to Gulf Shores, so the extra mile for an impromptu family reunion was perfectly reasonable for a Tuesday night!
What we didn't know, was that we had gotten to Tay's as they were shutting down for the night. We also didn't know that there was virtually nothing else to eat nearby... The employees were unfazed as the 7 of us (including 3 young kids) came in and lined up at the counter. "For Here or To-Go?" we were asked.. I cringed as I said "For Here..."
Quickly, graciously and as friendly as can be, the employees told us "No problem!" while they put some tables together for us, answered questions, and served us-- even bringing our food to the table as we caught up.
The food was great, and the service we received was noticeably over and above.
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the employees that were there Tuesday Night (5/24/2022) for accommodating us and for being so welcoming! We're sorry to have kept you from going home, but we really appreciate you making it possible for us to visit with our family...
Read moreLocal BBQ chain that reminds me of other joints from different locals. At least this one isn't the standing room only, better get there before X time otherwise you're SOL and leaving hungry. If you've ever been to a Sonny's they're somewhat similar, but smaller and feared more for togo although they do have dine in. I wonder if this is a Dreamland situation where anything not from the original location is subpar because I hear others talk about them. Regardless the sausage is really good as is the chicken. I haven't had the pork or ribs yet, I'm working myself up to that I guess. Can't discern a regional style although they have Alabama white sauce so there is that. Their BBQ sauce isn't overly sweet and has a decent spice. The chicken is well seasoned and juicy, but mildly smokey IMO. Pulled chicken always tends to be a little dry no matter where you get it, but not a detriment here. I've only had the mac and the grits, which are also both rich creamy and cheesy. It's a hot bar setup so depending, things may not be the freshest. They have beer and other cold things in a cooler to the...
