This mediocre restaurant took the place of the locally loved Señor Sanchos. I must say despite that, I was excited to see what awaited in its place. I took some friends out here mid-week, on the weekends, it looks extremely packed. Had no wait time. The hostess asked how many and then just walked away, we weren't even sure he wanted us to follow him. On first look it reminded me of the mid level hotel scenery. Plain, boring, some random pictures slapped on the wall, and 1 terribly slow-going fan, this seemed comedic. Racked up a $250 bill in a matter of an hour for the 4 of us. No plate less than 20, but tasted awful. However, I was told that the burger was pretty good. The french fries were decent. Pasta was so garlicky that I had to have 4 mints after having just 3 bites. Which they really should have by the way, some mints at the counter before you leave. Chicken strips were very boring. Definitely not made in house or so it seemed. Jack's tacos, should definitely not be the signature dish. Tortillas were not crispy, 1 tortillas per taco btw. Wet meat, wet chicken, wet carnitas, wet tri-tip. Needs some salsa, some flavor something. And for $20 only 3 wet tacos and nothing else. No no no. The drinks were less than appealing. $4 soda, $11-$14 cocktails, draft beers. They're appetizers nearly cost as much as they're entrees which reach up to over $50 for a plate (ribs). Nothing stood out. Nothing really grabbed out attention, like "Ooooh that sounds good!" No, very mid vibe. All of it was giving boujie. We got dessert, that was a bad idea. Only hiked up our bill. When they say a scoop of ice cream they mean it. Could have bought a couple of tubs of ice cream for $10. 1 lonely slice of cheesecake with some Betty Crocker frosting on top. tsk tsk tsk Overall, would definitely not recommend this...
Read moreMy experience at Jack’s Bar and Grill in Paso Robles was nothing short of exceptional, and that’s largely thanks to our incredible server, Lily. From the moment we sat down, Lily went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Her energy was upbeat, her timing was perfect, and her recommendations were absolutely spot-on.
We had a few questions about the menu, and Lily was not only knowledgeable but genuinely enthusiastic about helping us choose the best dishes. Her attention to detail and friendly attitude made all the difference. You could tell she really cared about making our experience special.
The food and drinks were delicious (highly recommend the tri tip tacos), but honestly, it was Lily’s outstanding service that made our night memorable. She checked in just the right amount, made sure we never ran low on drinks, and handled everything with such grace and professionalism.
If you’re heading to Jack’s, ask for Lily—you won’t regret it. She’s an absolute gem and truly elevates the whole experience. We’ll definitely be back, and you can bet we’ll be asking...
Read moreBeyond impressed with the service! The food is always great. On Saturday we visited with our friends of which the mother and 12 year old son both have celiac disease. The son was terribly disappointed to learn the chips for nachos were fried in a shared fryer. His mom still ordered the nachos for him just all the fixings without chips and the dad said he would run to the market next door and get some chips. Son was still bummed.l but agreeable. The waitress came back and said the chef would happily take the safe chips to the kitchen and use those to prepare the nachos. The look on this kids face was priceless! He was so happy. Trash can nachos came out beautifully and our friends were so moved by the waitress and chef going...
