King of Delancey — Restaurant in Passaic

3 stars for confusion on their web site although the food and behavior of the staff is quite fine. As of Jan 15th, I suggest do not order online, unless you follow up with a phone call to get the reality of your order. But ... I had placed my order on line and the digital reply said the food is ready in 15 minutes. I was skeptical that it could be ready so quickly , and went to pick up the order with low expectations.... and as I thought the food was not ready. I was told that the web site has a mistake which falsely advises 15 minutes for every order that is placed. I was then told the kitchen was very busy and possibly the order would be ready in 1/2 hour or more, and they would call me when I could come back again to pick it up. They did phone 40 minutes later, yasher koach for that. I am less than 5 min. away, went back to get the order, which was prepared complete, which exceeded my expectations, as kosher restaurants often fail at this task. Although 4 out of 6 dishes were fine..... too bad that a "medium" burger and the grilled chicken cutlet was over cooked well done and dry, Since this is a kosher establishment, I will go back to try for another burger cooked properly, but will do that as an in store...

Placed an order by phone at 9.24 pm last night on 7/2/25. (App kept having error). First delivery time said 10.41. Then 11.15 . Then 11.33. I can understand all that. When driver gave me bag it felt very light. I couldn't open it outside. I get inside and my $20 sesame chicken is missing. I need someone to call me immediately and give me a full refund.

Update: Owner called me first thing following morning and said he refunded me. He was very nice. And apologized about the mixup with the outside delivery service they use. So for that I will try this place again. I will say the Cole slaw which was one of the only things I ordered that I received, was rancid when it got to me. I had ordered same order the week before and had a great experience start to finish. Maybe this was a busy night due to July 4th week. ...

I was at American Dream and needed dinner for my family (Kosher option only). I placed the order online for delivery and they prepared everything fresh and exactly as requested online. The sandwiches weren't soggy at all, neither were the fries or salads. They even packaged the dressing in a way that it wouldn't spill. The price was right and everything was delicious. Would definitely go back if ever in the area and would highly recommend delivery if needed. No picture as the kids were hungry after a long day. ;-)

FYI, the "rideshare" location in American Dream is on the ground floor of the A building and that is where deliveries go to. I met the driver outside when he called me. Very...
