Ordered for the first time. Normally order from La Fortaleza Garfield but they no longer do takeout there. Lots of Taco places around but many also owned by the same La Fortaleza guy. Found this place and one in Rutherford but this place seemed more authentic. Ordered the Biria and Pastor tacos. Both exceeded my expectations. As this is not a sit down restaurant I could not give it 5 stars for atmosphere but the place was clean and the people happy. Ordering on the phone while not speaking Spanish was perfect. Amazing. With so many great Mexican food options to choose from in Passaic, Los Rancheros Taqueria stands on a mountain on giants. This place does not cut corners. I had picaditas, my partner had biria tacos, and we had chips and salsa to share. The chips were freshly fried, the salsa was surprisingly made in a more tritonal style, like mama used to make. This place is small, but don’t let it fool you is packed with a great menu and flavors. I was craving tostadas de carne and this placed delivered! The tacos carnitas were delicious! The meat was flavorful and tender. We will definitely be coming here more often.
