My husband, son and I stopped by Dairy Queen on our way home last Monday. I ordered a sundae with bananas and we were told that they were out. Exactly a week later (yesterday) my husband went to the drive thru again and they had no bananas. My husband ordered a Mint Brownie Blizzard and they were out of brownies, my son ordered the Turtle Pecan Cluster Blizzard and they were out of pecans. My thought was, "Tell me what you have and I will choose from the verbal menu"! The service is extremely slow in the Drive thru and inside. One day I waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru and then at least 5 more at the microphone of the drive thru, I was then asked to pull forward and they will bring my order to me. I ordered a chili cheese coney and they forgot the cheese. I visited this location when it first opened and the service was slow at the time as well, but I chalked it up to them being new. The food was good that one time and that was it. I've given them ample time to improve. I naively was hoping for the best but I am disappointed and frustrated at every visit. The building is in a perfect location and the restaurant is nice. The girl who took my order obviously didn't know too well what she was doing but didn't seem to want to ask for help. Not sure if she rang it up correctly (I kept the receipt) or if they were just screwing it up in the back. First time it came out vanilla ice cream and chocolate topping with a little peanut butter topping added. I was trying to holler to the person in the back what I wanted but was ignored. Second time all chocolate ice cream but the toppings were the same. At that point I tried to eat it but only got thru about a third of it. I gave it to the girl at the counter who rang the order and told her I couldn't eat it and that I wouldn't be back. She apologized but there was no offer to let me speak to a manager or to rectify the situation. The first time we went we were over charged and our order was wrong. (Didnāt realize it until we got home) The second and third time we went our order was wrong again. They gave us regular size fries instead of large both times and the second time one order was supposed to be a large onion ring and there was 2 onion rings on it and tonight when we went they didnāt give us the fries at all. Every time Iāve been here I see multiple employees just standing around, talking and carrying on. Now Iām not talking about talking while working, no I mean thereās 1 person running around doing everything and no less than 4 at a time standing around doing nothing. And one of the ones doing nothing is almost always the manager, so not really setting a good example for employees. Youād think with all that free time they could get an order right.
