J's Brothers Restaurant — Restaurant in Pawtucket

I didn't know what to expect I'm not from the state of Rhode Island and haven't tried any mom and pop sort of restaurants yet. I just wanted breakfast. This place was amaaaaaaazing. I believe I ordered some sort of breakfast steak quesadilla that had eggs and everything breakfast in it. Kudos to the chef because it was so good I took my last quesadilla home and it was only one 😂 it took a while for the waitresses to notice we were sitting at the table but they were pretty busy and there was only two waitresses. I believe they did doordash as well. Both waitresses took the time out of serving just to come to the table and let me know how beautiful I looked that day. Needless to say the service was amazing and I absolutely loved the food, I will return!!! The only problem I could mention is my husband asks specifically if the waffles were Belgian or regular. The waitress must not have known what Belgian meant because the waffles were definitely Belgian the big thick kind. He prefers the skinny regular ones you pop in the toaster 😂 but he dealt with it ate it because he really enjoyed the service so that says a lot. Annnmd those HOME FRIED POTATOES!!! If you go here GET EMM! They are so perfectly fried they go good with burgers or breakfast believe me. ! I've never had home fries made like this before and I'm kind of upset I got the opportunity to try him because I feel like I can't go back....

My boyfriend and I came across this place while looking for a breakfast place on a cold, rainy Sunday. It wasn't busy and that should have been a sign. It was clean but freezing cold. When we were sat by the waitress, it was apparent the ac was on but I was hoping it was just feeling cold bc we were wet from the rain. It took forever to get our drink orders. When she brought my boyfriends coffee out she didn't bring cream or ask if we were ready to order. Mind you we had been there probably 15-25 minutes already.. menu's were closed and at the end of the table to show we were ready. When she did come to take our orders we mentioned the lack of cream for coffee and she grabbed us some. Took our order and I mentioned how cold it was and asked if the ac was on. After that, the blower we were sitting under seemed to be blowing less cold air. We waited probably 20-25 minutes for our food. We had to wave her down to get drink refills despite placing our empty mugs at the end of the table. The food wasn't great but not awful either, just had no flavor and was not hot.

We were not impressed...

My first experience here was ok, but todays experience was rough. I confirmed complimentary coffee (listed on their menu) would be ok with the two meals I ordered, but somehow was charged for them. I thought the price seemed high, but I wasn’t arguing over a six dollar mistake. Also wouldn’t have minded paying if I didn’t also confirm on the phone as complimentary. However, the real disappointment was opening my container to see this. There was barely a sliver of somewhat browned avacado on my open faced Avacado sandwich. It’s also extremely acidic and seemingly premade which is all fine, but add it all up and not only was I over charged, I couldn’t actually eat the meal. I am happy to support small business, but I hope this place either elevates this dish or takes it off the menu - it’s not worth the price. And take the complimentary coffee off the menu unless you add that it’s not valid for takeout or whatever...
