Duza's Kitchen is a wonderful place to stop by for a bite to eat. We made the drive up to Payson to get some much needed adventure time being cooped up with two little ones for the past two months. With nearby Green Valley Park (a great family outing to walk around the pond and play at the playground) as our main stopping point Duza's Kitchen is close by. From the road Duza's pulls one in as if you're an out-of-town visiting family. We were greeted by a great staff and they sat our family on the covered patio where we enjoyed a beautiful view of the perfectly landscaped front yard while sipping herb and fruit infused water on a perfect spring day with a light breeze. The menu is the perfect size, not too big that it's overwhelming. Offering a highly executed menu to satiate every palate to include a usually picky 7 year old. The husband ordered the daily special of a breakfast burrito which came with red and green sauce. I ordered the Hash House and our 7 year old, though she was hesitant because there wasn't a kids menu option ordered the Assorted French Toast. The husband devoured the large breakfast burrito wanting to order a second because the eggs were the freshest he's ever had and all the ingredients were perfectly blended. My Hash House was fantastically flavorful hitting the savory palate with an assortment of perfectly rustic country potatoes with perfectly seasoned and cooked corn beef, prime rib, ham and smoked brisket with added flavor provided by the bell peppers, scallions, shallots and mushroom blend. The most talked about dish for all of us was the Assorted French Toast that is a culinary masterpiece. The creator of this dish should give themselves a major pat on their back. Don't think about your traditional french toast. Nevermind the brioche, eggs, maple syrup and fresh whipped cream. This french toast is elevated higher than the Himalayas! We all talked about the 3 different types of "toast" (Yes, not 1, not 2 but 3) on this dish. The bottom layer was a banana nut bread, followed by a carrot cake type bread followed by a tea bread topped with fresh fruit. Each slice of this toast was like bitting into a perfect light little sweetened clouds. Hands down the best breakfast dish we've ever had!
Overall, our experience at Duza's kitchen was fantastic! The location is great! Family friendly and even furbaby friendly. You can tell by the food and the staff that they are passionate about delivery the best in quality. Duza's Kitchen is the perfect stop to get away from the hustle and bustle. Green Valley Park offered the much needed shade to digest our food coma at Duza's. This place is truly a gem in Payson. We will definitely be back to try the lunch menu. Our only recommendation would be to change the bathroom lock.
@Duza keep on with your passion for food! You all know what you're doing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience and...

My food was too spicy to eat, so I sent it back. The menu description of the item I ordered did not mention anything about being spicy. The waitress asked if I wanted to ORDER something else. I declined, and so she left with my plate of food. She returned with my order in a take-away box and placed it in front of me and said, "She (the owner?) said since you're paying for it anyway to box it up and give it back to you." Seriously? Why would I want to take home food that I had asked to be taken away? I found this behavior to be rude and passive-aggressive. I gave back the box to the waitress and requested she put it in the trash because as I told her when she took away my plate, I would not be eating the food.
My friend asked for an order of waffles only. He was told he would have to order the chicken and waffles plate, but it only came with one small waffle. If he wanted more waffles, he would have to order another chicken and waffle plate. So, he ordered a nearly $20 plate and ate one waffle.
Another person in our party asked for butter for his toast. The waitress acknowledged him and said she would bring some. He never received it.
Another person asked if his order came with bread because he noticed that someone else's order had come with bread. The waitress simply said, "No." She didn't follow up and ask if he would like an order of bread.
Be warned, if you choose to eat at Duza's, they do not care about what you want. You get what they give you. The menu states NO SUBSTITUTIONS, and...
Read moreOn their website and restaurant it says that "People who love to eat are always the best people". Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the people that are providing the food. After getting sat after a short wait, we waited for about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. The acknowledgement amounted to the server taking two of the settings away and that was all, offering nothing in the way of service. After being parched waiting outside for a table we just really needed water, which I believe is common basic hospitality in the desert, please correct me if I'm wrong. After waiting for another 5 to 10 minutes my fiancee took it upon herself to get us some water. That is when a woman who claimed to be the owner of the restaurant berated and insulted her, and told her they were hiring if she wanted to help. I'm pretty sure customer service does not include condescending to the customer.
To make a long story less long, a different server that wasn't ours, threw the check at us and said, "Since you are in a hurry here is your check" and ran off. I replied, "we weren't in a hurry, we were just thirsty". On the way out the "owner" got in my fiancee's face with a very passive-aggressive thank you that bordered on assault.
Basically if you like those novelty restaurants that abuse you, then this is your place!
Other than that the food was good, but they can keep their condescension. I'm not surprised they are hiring if they treat their staff anything like...
