I've written only two reviews in my 56 years of life, both good, sadly this one will be a poor review. My mother recently passed and my employer had a peace lily sent to me via Rim country flowers. Unfortunately, it was infested with soil gnats, which then in turn went into all of my plants. And you know, although I wasn't thrilled obviously with getting soil gnats, it was not the worst part of the experience. The worst part was when I called Rim Country Flowers and their response to my call. I was extremely polite and told them that I was calling them as a courtesy, to alert them to the fact that they might want to check their inventory for soil gnats so they don't have to go through everything that goes along with having soil gnats. Their first response was to tell me that they had no way of looking up my receiving the plant because it had been a month. I find that a little absurd, but okay. I told them that I was calling as a courtesy, I wasn't looking for any kind of refund or anything like that and then they tried to tell me that the soil gnats could have come from anywhere.I told them that wasn't possible being that I've had the same plants for years. They then went on to tell me how I should treat all of my plants, which I'm already aware of the process. I did find the whole sequence of the conversation a bit lacking and accountability or compassion. It went from saying they couldn't look up if I had received anything from them to me actually having the plant but that the Naps could have come from anywhere, then to finally telling me the process of how to treat the plant that they did give me. They were very short and somewhat rude, and I reminded them that I was just calling as a courtesy. My mother had just passed and I wasn't seeking any kind of replacement, or money, or reimbursement or anything of that nature. One final thing, I didn't leave the review a month ago because when my peace lily was delivered with its condolences from my employer, there were three stickers plastered all over it requesting that I leave a review about Rim Country Flowers. I found that a very tacky thing to do and lacking in any sense...
Read moreThis place sucks! Bought $60.00 bouquet over the phone for my Grandma, she was in the hospital on Christmas. She never received the flowers! I called & asked why. They delivered to the hospital but had a nurse sign for it. Well the nurse said they delivered it to a woman (no records after that) but it wasn't my Grandmother! So the flower shop says to me "I'm sorry you have to go thru this" basically telling me I'm screwed out of the 60 bucks I paid for the flowers and never got!! The least they could of done was offer to send my Grandma some new flowers!!! But they didn't even do that! If can I would of known there were hanging offs in delivering to a hospital I may not of bothered! It seems apparent that this flower shop screws up often because her first response was defensive and even mentioned it being on the hospitals bill. What???!!!! Never...
