Knights Inn Payson — Hotel in Payson

I took a job in Payson, AZ but had no place to live. So, I booked a room here at the Knights Inn for a week in hopes of securing a place in town. Before I made my long trip to Arizona I found a place to live but it would not be ready for week. My first week at the Knights Inn was so, so only cause I found the room to be very dusty. When, I completed about it I was told that the rooms are cleaned daily. My first week was okay but when I did not hear from the person who offered me my rental I had no choice but to stay put. I explained to the manager what had happened to me about my rental and how the owner reneged on the offer that the manager worked with me and I was a loud to stay at the hotel for the rest of my contract. Not only was my stay pleasant, I traveled with my dog and we were the best guess that they ever had; even house keeping had no complaints of us. I oped for no house keeping cause of my dog so, I cleaned the room myself and management was fine with it, as for the dustiness Arizona is famous for it and it came into my room via the air conditioning system. I spent 3 months in this room and I made it work. When my contract at the hospital was up, I packed up to leave my room of 3 months too long and I thanked the managers for being understanding of my situation and for working with me so that I may fulfill my first responders obligations. |In closing, if I had to pick a place in Payson, AZ to stay at in the future it will be the...

From my pictures you can see why I gave them 1 star, i'd give them zero if I could! I've stayed in some pretty low down motels, but from being a Wyndham member and staying at mostly Wyndham hotels this was literally the worst. Everything was so old and gross like they can't replace these things or clean better? The lady at the front desk gave us a bottle of all purpose cleaner ripped stained rags and a vacuum so we could clean the room for ourselves...ridiculous, but the bottle of cleaner was broken and the vacuum was ancient, it wasn't picking anything up.

My husband stepped on a piece of broken glass that appeared to be burnt from a meth pipe maybe.

The beds are in terrible condition the fridge and microwave smelled really bad, there's a hole in the wall all the way to the outside, the bathroom floor and carpet were both so filthy I'm surprised they still have customers. More than half the rooms in the hallway I stayed in were occupied by people that looked like illegals they didnt speak English but they were loud and had all their doors open it was really weird, plus creepy sketchy people in the stairwells.

I absolutely will not ever stay here again and won't recommend it, too expensive for literally nothing. I'd rather sleep in my car.

This is the longest review I've ever wrote, and the most pictures I've ever posted I just want to express to you all how terrible this...

We called looking for information on the hotel, we were given a cheapnqpute which was fine and we were told they did military discount. When we called later on the night we were told they don't always do military discount and it's on certain rooms and that they wouldn't bdcaude they didn't have enough rooms. we let that slide and called it good before booked 2 rooms. My husband told staff we might not be able to make it in, the staff seemed to understand but failed to mention their cancelation policy. We never made it into the hotel and ended up staying somewhere else die to vehucle issues, so we called to cancel the rooms. They canceled one and told us they were still charging us for 1 room, due to their cancelation policy. Overall the manager and the staff kept giving us contradicting information, they all could have handled the entire situation much better than what they did, they started off with good customer service and towards the end it sucked. Maybe the staff needs to be on the same page before trying to run a hotel. If the customer service was absolute garbage over the phone I'd hate to see how bad it is in person, if the staff wants to act like they don't want to work there mayne they need to reevaluate their work choices and find somewhere else to work and I know that's harsh to say but honestly they should look over how they approach situation before...
