I ate here on an unexpected trip through Christopher Creek - very much enjoyed myself. A lot of recent reviews say service was slow; I hope everyone can remember how hard finding employees is right now, (post-Covid reasons), and give these guys a break because as a former restaurant manager, I truly believe they are doing their best. Marcus and Josh the bartenders were very hospitable and despite being slammed with a short staff and a huge wedding party on the patio, took the time to engage in conversation with me, ask questions and made sure I had everything I needed. As a bartender, the last person you want at your bar is someone who isn't drinking, but Marcus did an awesome job of making that perfectly acceptable and made me feel welcome. (Thanks Marcus!) The food was only ok but aain, start o peak season with a huge wedding...I ate everything on my plate because I was absolutely starving, but the grilled chicken sandwich I ordered was definitely overpriced for how small it was. I had to dress it up to make it good to my likes, (for me-very picky), but over all it wasn't too bad. The ice cream at the end made it worth it - I just wanted more chocolate sauce! (who doesn't) The ambiance is awesome, beautiful patio along the creek, leashed dogs and children are allowed, full bar and though they didn't the night I was there, have a stage for live music as well as games to play on the patio. Perfect place to chill at the...
Read moreMy husband and I were married at Woods Canyon Lake a couple of years back & stayed at Christopher Creek. We returned this weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We stopped into the Landmark (had never been before) for a late lunch on Saturday, and were pleasantly surprised. The environment was perfect, calm and felt like community. We sat on the upper patio and could hear the stream in back. Our waiter was awesome- attentive, great recommendations, very personable, and made sure we got hooked up with the horseback riding we'd already wanted to reserve. The food was delicious (we had the pickled jalapeño burger & French dip), and the drinks were spot on (I had a double Jack 'n coke, hubby had a beer on tap). At the end of our lunch we were talking with the waiter and joking about reserving the table to come back that night for an anniversary dinner. Much to our surprise, he went back and cleared it and next thing we knew, they reserved that exact table for us.
Saturday night they had live music, again great environment, great drinks, and we had a great time.
Today, we went back after horseback riding for lunch and a drink. Again, same waiter. Hubs and I both had Bloody Mary's with our lunch and they were delish!
We will definitely be back. Great service, great food and drinks, great environment, and overall an awesome experience. Thanks Landmark for making our wedding anniversary so special this weekend....
Read moreI've given this restaraunt 3 chances to redeem itself and each time was worst than the last. 1st time : we sat at the bar, waited 45 min , no service , FINALLY someone said something , I had a coke and my boyfriend had a beer , or food was a Ruben and a French dip , My boyfriends French dip was COLD and my Ruben was All sauerkraut. We paid or bill which was outrageous ($60) and we left. 2nd time: went in with a friend and we went outside, no service, we had to get our own menus , I had boneless wings, supposed to have ranch , celery and carrots on the side . Got none of that , the boneless wings were shoddy , and had no sauce , I asked for mild and got like sweet chili , and the ranch was watered down . 3rd time: went in with my boyfriend again waited an HOUR for our food , saw a 12 year old serving food and a woman who didn't even work there, serving and taking orders while drinking a Miller lite , meanwhile two waitresses were messing around in the bathroom . And they left when I walked in, not to mention the food was shoddy at best the Mac and cheese is ok just don't eat the top layer. When we got home my boyfriend puked up ALL the pretzel bites . Needless to say we will NOT be returning to landmark unless we are just going in to drink...
