We decided to give them another try after not having been in 6 yrs because the food wasn’t as good as it used to be. In their first few years the food was great! It was our favorite place to go but it had gone down hill. We kept hearing people say how good it was so we decided to give it another try after all this time. Big mistake. We got the General Taos Chicken and Cashew Chicken combo plates. The egg rolls were total mush and smelled terrible. Both our main dishes stunk and tasted terrible. The chicken was greasy and overcooked so it was hard, almost like it was old and recooked. The sauces were awful, the peas in the fried rice were dried hard, and the cashew chicken was a good 75% diced carrots. The scent of all of it was strong and gross and very hard to get past. It was so awful we couldn’t eat it. We tried to suffer through because it was our supper and we had paid good money for it. We couldn’t do it. It was that bad. And we aren’t overly picky people. We can usually suck it up if something isn’t up to par and isn’t spoiled. We got it as take out so our house absolutely wreaks from how bad the food smelled after we opened the containers and the food isn’t even in here anymore. The smell was so bad we sealed it all up and took it outside and put in the shop fridge until we can dispose of it. I’m sad to say it is far worse than when we quit eating there 6 yrs ago. We will not ever go back. I am struggling to understand how anyone could pick this as their favorite or recommended them as being great. I hate leaving this kind of review and try to leave positive ones every chance I get but I feel honest reviews are needed especially now when money is tight for so many and eating out is a treat. People need to be able to see honest reviews before deciding where to choose to spend their hard earned money. And there is also the hope that such reviews can help the restaurant take the necessary steps to improve. They don’t know what’s wrong if people don’t share their...
Read moreDid not meet expectations. Would like to suggest a name change from Mongolian beef to Mongolian ONIONS. We called for a veggie chow mai fun and mongolian beef with no onions. Got a container that was mostly onions (see picture, beef on the right, the rest is all onions and a few pieces of green peppers.) When I called to ask to exchange my mongolian beef plate for one without onions, I was told I would not be getting a normal amount of beef and green peppers, but that maybe they could put it in a small rice container. What?! That if I wanted more beef it would be $1-2 more. So I said "fine, go ahead and add more, tell me how much it is so I can bring the extra cash." The response was "uhh, well, uh it depends on uhhh how much more beef you want" Are you wanting me to give you a weight by grams or something? I gave up. Will drive the extra way for the better service. Spent $60 for this...
Read moreBest for take out. The owners child was running through the restaurant playing and distracting most customers who politely pretended to ignore the poor little guy no fault of his own but definitely not the place while customers are trying to enjoy dinner out. The cashier was wonderful and friendly our waitress was not pleasant and unfriendly and refilled drinks once never to be seen again. I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and besides the awful flavor of the chicken ( i took the meat out for the dog) the vegetables were delicious as was the fried rice and egg roll. The chicken tasted absolutely awful and i took all of it out and made a take home box for the pooch who seemed to greatly enjoy it. Ive enjoyed most of the dishes here but from now on no more chicken and only take out as dining here was not a...
