Golden Tea Cafe — Restaurant in Peabody

Super cute place to grab bubble tea and a snack. My sisters and I tried a variety of drinks. The milk teas were okay. We got their ube matcha and ube milk tea. Their fruit drinks were the stars though. Fresh strawberry lychee tea, coconut kumquat, and avocado durian smoothies were all fantastic. They use real fruits and fruit syrups so the flavor’s not artificial at all. The avocado durian smoothie had enough durian in it to be noticeable without being overpowering but if you’re a big fan of durian you could try asking them to add extra durian. My favorite was the fresh strawberry lychee tea. It was really refreshing and light while still having strong fruit flavors and a flowery fragrance from the tea. It went well with lychee jelly and came with fruit chunks. We wanted to try their bubble waffle but sadly they were out for the day. We did get to try their waffle dog which was pretty good for a savory snack. The waffle was like a crisp covering over the hot dog. The ladies at the counter were very nice and welcoming. I discovered this place back in May and have been coming every week since. I love the piña colada smoothie. Sooo good and the price is reasonable , sizes are good and not expensive like other places who provide smaller quantities. Everything is fresh so it does take a bit to get the drinks but it’s worth the wait and the owners are very nice and welcoming ! Def recommend . The only thing is I wish the online service would be better . I can’t order a piña colada smoothie without a topping but I don’t want toppings LOL and then The other website doesn’t have the piña...

My favorite spot for boba tea, and there are a lot in the area. So far I've tried their taro milk tea, ube brown sugar, and kumquat lemon slush and all three have been the best version of these types of items I've ever had. The taro milk tea had great taro flavor without the cloying sweetness of many other shops. Ube brown sugar was a gorgeous layered drink with excellent flavors.
