First I wanted to thank the staff at Toscana Forno for putting together an amazing Bridal Shower for my daughter. As with most functions, we had tons of special requests and necessary special accommodations. Our vision for the room set up was specific, along with some of our guests having food allergies- which were taken care of before they even arrived! From the beginning both Sanaa and Giana had clear cut communication with us- choosing menus (even swapping out items for ones we preferred), helping us decide on decor and table set up, and so much more. When the day arrived the "party nerves" kicked in.. Giana and Tara (our bartender server) made us feel so at ease. Our guests arrived to a beautifully set up room- my vision was executed perfectly!!!
Now moving on to the food.. we went with the brunch menu which included- eggs benedict (the hollandaise was the best we've ever had), make your own waffle station, bacon, home fries, and scrambled eggs (cooked to perfection, not the gross runny kind of eggs). To begin we had fruit and assorted pastries which were great to have for guests who came already (very) hungry. Every guest had seconds, some even went up 4 times!!! The garden salad vermentino vinaigrette is absolutely delicious.
To finish off we opted to bring our own desserts, which Tara set up beautifully around our cake table and helped us box them up individually as party favors for our guests.
The contract for the event was clear and all pricing and add ons were communicated clearly before the day of our event arrived, so we had no headaches there.
Overall, I could rant for hours about how happy I am we chose Toscana Forno for our event. I would absolutely recommend this function room.. beyond the room being stunning, the extra care we received from Tara and Giana really drove it home.
We will absolutely be booking again.. Thank you for putting a smile on our faces, and for being a part of such a...
Read moreWhat an amazing dining experience for our family! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We showed up very early to for our reservation time and they proceeded to find us a seat. This was so awesome of them because this a was very busy Friday night for the restaurant. Our waitress was so nice and seemed to really care for us. We ordered the lamb lollipops and stuffed mushrooms with lobster topping for an appetizer. Both apps were exquisite! They looked to pretty and tasted amazing! The lamb was very tender and flavorful while the mushrooms were good sized and resting in a delicious vodka type sauce, plus there were chunks of lobster sitting in the vodka sauce as well as in the mushrooms. For our entrees, we got the Salmon Piccata, the lasagne and the kids fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken. My husband enjoyed the salmon, especially with the veggies it came with. The salmon was cooked to perfection! My lasagne was very tasty and a HUGE serving in a cast iron pan! I love lasagne with bechamel so this hit the spot! My son enjoyed his fettuccine and the noodles were fresh and the grilled chicken was so good that he left no piece unscathed. For dessert we got the crème brûlée and it was so tasty! The crust was not too crunchy and the custard was was a great consistency. Additionally, to drink we got the sangria, a Paloma & a White Russian. All three drinks were amazing!! I wish I could remember our waitress’ name because she was amazing! Her dad served in WWII and she has a Boston type accent. She definitely deserves kudos for her positive attitude...
Read moreI am giving 5 stars because I feel it is necessary despite the comment on service I have, so please read the entire thing for details.
We made reservations ahead of time for Valentine's Day. We got there and it was very busy, of course. We sat down and didn't order drinks or appetizers, so we had some bread and ordered our entrees. Our server was Rawan, a young girl who was very sweet!
We waited over an hour for our food, and so did a lot of other people and we definitely heard complaints, but let me tell you why I'm not going to complain or give 2 stars:
It was a very popular dining night, Valentine's Day. The restaurant was extremely busy, and if the food wasn't superb, it wouldn't have been that busy. Rawan was wonderful and apologized for the wait (we know of course it isn't her fault!), and brought us some extra bread--ciabatta, with oil, and it was delicious. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. Out of this world Gnocchi in a bread bowl. My fiancee got a Chicken/Broccoli Alfredo dish, and the kitchen did forget the chicken somehow, but guess what? Mistakes happen. When you have a full house, forgetting someone's chicken really isn't the end of the world.
Overall, we will be back. I've been to both locations and they are both very delicious. I've been to functions and the dining room. I hope this helps someone to be a little more patient when choosing to go out to eat, because it is a luxury many people cannot afford, so if minor things happen, remember you are also a human being and none of us have been without mistakes...
