One of my more recent favorites (as of Dec 2022) is Plum Tomatoes. They're one of our new go-to options for pizza & calzone.
We ordered from them a few times some time back, but it had been a while because we had another (slightly closer) place that we just happened to like the most. That other slightly closer place was sold earlier this use & is now under new management. There was a noticeable difference in their food, so we sought out a new place. We tried Plum Tomatoes and really enjoyed their pizzas, calzones, cheesy bread & Greek salad. Haven't made the full rounds on the menu yet, but so far we like everything we've tried.
I gave a top rating on food & service, but a mid rating on atmosphere only because it's a tiny customer area mainly designed for takeout. It's a nice place, but really made to get in and out with your takeout order.
Only one small mishap was with a Greek salad that didn't come with the pita bread. That was the only one-time minor issue. Otherwise they're great. I would...
Read moreThis is the best pizza place around these parts. The ingredients are always top notch and fresh. Delicious thin crust pizza to write home about. You can tell the staff works their asses off as it's always busy, but they still find the time to be personable and even make suggestions when they have new sauces for tenders or specials on the menu. Owner is often there working and it shows in the consistent quality of the product. Sauce, cheese, dough and topping ratio is perfect, this is legit Italian thin crust, no BS. I've never had anything but stellar food from plum tomatoes. They have a punch card too where you get your 10th (I think) large pizza for free. Great food, great staff, a genuine gem in an area otherwise not know for phenomenal fare. You can't go wrong at...
Read moreI’m really disappointed in my last order. I have been going to Plum Tomatoes for years and it’s always been my favorite. My last pizza was absolutely disgusting. The gentleman that was working told me he recently “bought” Plum’s and some of the food is changing. I’m not sure if that’s true but it would explain a lot. The cheese was awful, the sauce was gross and the pizza dough looked crazy. I should have taken a picture. The crust tasted like cardboard. I don’t mind paying $20 for a pizza. In fact, I’ve always love supporting this local business. The owner is awesome. But; if it did sell, I won’t be going back. And I think most people will agree and probably not return after getting one of these pizzas. I’m sad. But I will be going...
