Waffle House — Restaurant in Pearl River

So glad I didn't give up on Waffle House. This morning had been challenging. After talking up Waffle House and thinking I would not be able to share this experience with my significant other, we agreed to stop here before just getting a gas station coffee and roll. WoW am I glad we stopped. Our order was "to go" since we were traveling with our dog. I ordered the waffles & chicken & bacon & grits and coffee. I had talked about Waffle House for hours as we drove seventeen hours to Slidell. I had texted my son and said, "going to Waffle House" He said, "get some grits" The staff was wonderful, efficient, pleasant and polite. Our food was made quickly but with care. Staff offered suggestions for parks and other nearby attractions. The restaurant was clean and conversation positive. It made me recall memories of trips to WH with my son and helped build new...

Gotta love a comfortable, homey place with good southern comfort food. The food, which is really good, is only a small part of why we go to Waffle House. The staff, all of them, from cooks to waitresses, are the real treasure here. The friendly (sometimes even sassy....in a good way!) employees are why I go there.

I can buy bacon and eggs in a lot of places, but there are very few places that feel like your slightlt crazy maiden auntie's kitchen.

I'm not sure that a yankee could really appreciate this atmosphere, this is an icon of southern values and southern hospitality.

I hope the never become like everyone else... it would be a terrible loss!

I went to this establishment around 4.30 p.m. . I do not know if the waitress was new or what but it was me my son and me n my grandaughter ordered a sausage egg cheese n grits bowl and a side order of hash brown with extra bacon. My son ordered a grand slam breakfast which was 7 99 I didnt realize the lady that had made a mistake on our order was charging me for her mistake .
