Arrived for what we thought was still breakfast time, and was a bit bummed out when I was told they were out of the French toast, which was the meal I was looking forward to! Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed their trio platter with a waffle.
Walking in is like walking in to a small cafe, small tables and booths. We arrived and quickly found two empty tables, it took a few minutes to have someone come take our drink order. I would say at least 8-10 minutes. A few guest left during this time and it would take a few minutes to get the tables cleared. At times there were new guest seating in the tables waiting to have them cleaned and reorganized. Nonetheless, the tables were packed during our entire meal, so that must say something.
Now, getting back to the meal, the waffle was a great backup, yet, I was a bit surprised that for still breakfast hours, they ran out of French toast. Read moreBon Appetit is a small, relatively new cafe on the edge of Shadow Creek Ranch development. It resides in a new strip center tucked between a NOLA style coffee shop and an organic nail shop. Now they are dry, semi-burned and taste like day-old reheats from the grocery store. I've eaten take-out from there three times lately because I wanted to be sure. Now I am, and it makes me disappointed and sad. Before they closed last March, friends would drive down from Houston just to eat there on Sundays. But unless they change the food quality back to the way it was, I can't recommend my friends do...
