So I never had any intention on eating here but while I was busy at work I became very hungry and decided Door dash was my ticket. I ordered the Taco Salad with shredded chicken and queso for the dressing. I still needed to add $0.50 for free shipping so stuffed Jalepenos it was, not 50 cents but let's try something else I thought.
TACO SALAD 8/10 Served in hard taco shell, mixed garden salad. -GROUND BEEF OR SHREDDED CHICKEN. -CHICKEN FAJITAS -BEEF OR COMBO FAJITAS
STUFFED JALAPEÑOS 4/10 Fried jalapeños served over mixed salad and 2 oz. of chile con queso
The order arrived ahead of schedule, way to go Door dash. The jalepenos were first up, they were on the cold side but were still ok. Jack in the Box's peppers are way better just for reference. So on to what I really wanted, opened up the box and you could literally not see any salad, it was a good thing though, there was a ton of shredded chicken on the salad. Poured on the queso and enjoyed the salad very much. This is were the 3 stars comes from, Same situation arose a day later and decided on a different dish. Once again Door dash was on their game with a 30 minute early arrival.
PECHUGA CON CAMARÓN 3/10 Served with charbroiled chicken breast with grilled shrimp sauteed in cream sauce and melted Monterrey Jack cheese on top, rice, choice of refried, charros or black beans, grilled onions, pico de gallo, guacamole and three handmade tortillas.
Went right in and tried the beans, really good Charro beans. Took a look at the main dish and was disappointed at the appearance. The sauce had broke, shrimp were unseasoned and just thrown on the top. The onions and peppers had not received much attention as they were barely cooked. Cut up the chicken breast and it was clearly over cooked by a lot. Had a slight off color indicating that it was precooked and reheated to order. Oh well, it was hot and I was hungry, so I ate it all. The taste was ok, not really anything that stood out about this dish besides the beans. Tortillas are homemade but not very good. Not worth the $13 I spent on it. The meals are served with chips, red and green sauce. The red sauce is...
Read moreMy family and I went yesterday (Friday night) to try the food. As we drove into the almost full parking lot, we almost left because we thought the wait would be too long. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. As we walked outside we loved the building and the patio in the front. We were greeted by two people who were courteous as we walked in. You immediately notice a big bar with some TVs as you walk in. It was not loud or disruptive in that area. As a family we enjoy a cozier environment versus a bar setting and we liked that the place that we were seated (to the far right) was quiet and were all booths. It was quieter on that side. As we sat we were greeted by the waitress fairly quickly who checked on us in a very timely manner throughout our time there. The booths were big and very comfortable. The place was also very clean. The biggest take away from this establishment was the feeling of nostalgia that overcame me. The booths are intricately designed with Latin paintings and decorations. It reminded me of some places we have been to in Mexico. The managers or owners came to see if we needed anything and had a nice conversation with us. We heard a few birthday songs around us near the bar area. The place is overall decorated nicely and very festive and not overly cluttered. The food is not as expensive as other restaurants we have visited that are similar to this one with similar menus. My husband was able to order a kids meal since he didn’t want a big meal. They add about a dollar to the price which we loved. He ordered the fajita taco. My son ordered fajita quesadillas. I ordered the mole enchiladas. I enjoyed the meal (I am very picky with Mexican food). The only reason it is not 5 stars is because the water tasted a bit off (I let the owner know about it) and the rice and green salsa could be a little better but again I am super picky. I highly recommend this place and we will most likely be regular customers. I was unable to see a Facebook page for this place but their other location in...
