Koch st. Bar is a true hidden gem on the south side of Pekin. One of the few establishments I feel completely safe & comfortable going into alone as a single woman. They always welcome you with a warm greeting. The drinks & food are perfect every time., & very cheap!! They have ran the annual city & county 8/9ball tournaments for over 2 decades, with plaques showcasing all the greats that took the trophy each year & Free Diamond tables from open to close... my favorite features about the bar. Gaming machines on point. The owners give & get a Lot of respect to that building & the patrons,..& for that very reason is why Koch st Bar has been there as long as it has. With apa sun-fri nights there's always players in here honing their skills, so what better a place to practice than where you'll find some good competition? Swing by on Saturdays too, there's usually a small tournament in the evening come test your luck! Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt smelled horrible. The bartender and another lady were smoking in the kitchen visible to everyone in the bar. That's part of the reason for the horrible smell. Customers had to go outside to smoke, but if you work there I guess the laws don't apply? Also why is there a gun hanging on the wall behind the bar? That's not cool with me. I'm pretty sure they charged me way too much for my drinks since I'm not a regular. Definitely...
