I really hate to leave bad reviews but the food I received there was absolutely no flavor‼️ It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect. There are a lot of Haitian restaurants in the area did I have eaten from multiple times this one I happened upon by chance and decided to give them a try. The first thing I noticed was there was no smell. The second it was exceptionally clean. If anyone is familiar with Haitian food then you are aware of how fragrant their food is. There was a guy at the counter who greeted me and I informed him of the order I made hours earlier online. There was a customer there who at the time I did not know was already waiting for food in his car. I had to wait until his meal was done before I received mine. We both ended up waiting about 20 minutes. He did have a large order so his 20 minutes seemed reasonable. The lady come out the back with the food for him and a plate for me. She carried on a conversation with him thank him and ask him to leave a review. She handed me my food turn around and walk back into the kitchen didn't say a word to me. (ALL CUSTOMERS ARE IMPORTANT NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY SPEND) That was a bad mistake I always leave reviews rather good service or bad I think people deserve to know what they're going to get.. The guy at the counter thank me and said good night. I went home to try to eat my food and I couldn't the chicken was bland there was no flavor at all not even salt in the white rice. I'M MOST LIKELY WON'T RETURN OR RECOMMEND
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ FINAL THOUGHTS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Customer service is 50/50 Food is bland Prices are okay Wait...
Read moreYesterday, me and bf ordered food from here. He picked it up and complimented how clean the place was. We got three orders. One rice & beans with wings which he really liked. He did mention that he felt like the wings had lots of the hair still on it so one wing he took the skin off completely. And then we ordered two plates of Legume. It was nice because for vegetarians they do have a non meat option. However, both the leguems had a smell to it. The same day we ordered the food, mind you!! This is maybe the third time i've noticed this with haitian resturants. Where you literally have to eat the food the same day because it already has a smell or will the next day. Kasa Champet did the same thing to us with legume. I'm haitian but at this point I don't care to support most haitan resturants if the food isn't going to be fresh. That is a problem. There is absoutley no reason why the food should have a smell. My mom didn't even feel comfortable eating her legume. The only thing she ate was the rice & sospa....
Read moreCame to Tehillah Garden for the first time approximately 3 weeks ago and have been coming back on a regular basis since. I’m impressed with the service and the friendliness of the servers at the counter. Upon entry you are greeted warmly as if your patronage is truly appreciated from the oldest to the youngest employee. Mostly geared for the take-out crowd, the establishment is clean with a modest seating arrangement should you decide to dine in. I’ve had the griot several times because it is so good and tender and I rarely eat pork. Last time I had the tasso den. It was cooked to perfection. The fried plantains are so much better than tostones because the core is soft and fluffy with a crispy outer layer. Tehillah Garden is a Haitian restaurant managed with a foreign flare for customer appreciation unlike your traditional Haitian restaurant. A true gem. Try it; you will not be...
