Big Ben Pizzeria — Restaurant in Pembroke

I wish these serial Google review stalkers would be shut down. Derek fowler (a few reviews below) is a disgusting individual. He is known to frequent local restaurants that he knows have a strict "customer is always right" policy, only to fake multiple issues and get free food. He has done this multiple times at more than one restaurant I've worked at. When he doesn't get his meal for free, he causes the biggest show possible, and leaves a bad review on Google. He is banned from multiple established businesses. Big Ben's is more than amazing. Consistently amazing because of the love and pride the owners put into every item they send out. I've spent over $350 at this restaurant. They were my favorite food for a while. The pizza is the best in Pembroke and so are the calzones. However, I am giving 3 stars because the rest of the food is lacking- specifically the subs. If you order an italian sub don't expect to get an italian sub. Don't even expect to get it the way you ordered it because for some reason it won't come the way you ordered it. Same goes with the veal parm subs. And the cheesesteaks. If you order bacon on your cheesesteak expect the bacon to be uncooked. If you order a sub (any kind in my experience) they simply do not give you the sub the way you order it. Ordered a pizza yesterday, was told 40 minutes, ran about 50ish minutes. The owner himself delivered my pizza and declined taking my money for tip, I Insisted of course and he finally accepted. Real genuine guy that went above and beyond to hand deliver my food. It's quite sad that it's hard to find help these days. Most likely due to the fact that during covid all the younger kids realized they could make money by being an internet star on only fans and throw away their dignity.
