This is an update from the review below. They have really cleaned the place up and it looks really good. Great job on the remodel! Still need to keep an eye on the front windows. Kids put their hands all over them so they're going to need cleaned pretty regularly. Not sure if the workers just weren't trained well or what but they don't seem to be happy. They should smile and greet people when they come in. They don't need to be so abrupt when waiting on customers either. The biggest issue I have is that I told one of the workers that the men's restroom needed soap in the dispenser. I'm back here 3 days later and still no soap! Come on! And the restrooms are going to need cleaned regularly also.
This place is begging for a visit by the health department. Went in for a sandwich around 5:30 and the food preparation area was covered with food and other stuff. There's a light fixture hanging from the ceiling exposing the wires. The drink cooler has the front cover falling off and full of dust. It doesn't look like the windows were cleaned in years. The tables and chairs needed cleaned off. The furnace ducts are covered with dirt and dust. I could go on but I think you get the idea. I won't be going back.
UPDATE: We decided to try it again since they went through a complete renovation and the place looked great! Still need to work on keeping the windows clean- it's the first thing customers see. It was clean and looks very good. The only issue was the people behind the counter taking your order. They could crack a smile once in a while and don't act like we're interrupting their day by coming in. We had some rather rude comments. After we looked at the menu my wife started to tell the person what she wanted and the reply was "I'm working on another order right now." I asked for something else for my order and the response was "we don't have any." It came across as...
Read moreTried this subway again about a year later after the last bad experience and called 2 subs in, once I got home, I quickly discovered that one of them was completely not edible because after being told they had no pepper on the phone call and just getting salt. I discovered my sub must’ve had 5 tablespoons of salt on it! So much to wear the first bite, resulted in an immediate run to the trashcan to spit it out as quick as possible. I tried the other end of the sub and was the same way. Drinking ocean water would be less salty than this sub! I don’t know if the salt shaker lid came off when they were preparing it and it poured all over my sub and they wrapped it up anyways. Nobody could possibly shake that much salt onto a sub and think anybody would or could eat that. I stopped back by the next night to complain with a picture of the sub, picture of the bag with my call in order taped on it and proof on my phone that I was there the night before on my banking app and was charged $24.13 but no free remaking of a sub or refund was offered. So they got me for at least $12 and I had to find something else to eat for dinner once I got home that night and throw the 12 inch sub in the trash. They didn’t care at all over the non edible sub because I didn’t have the receipt. I guess hindsight’s 2020 and I should’ve realized I couldn’t trust their subs and never threw the receipt from my pocket away at the gas station before I got home. I should’ve known I was dealing with Subway and held onto the receipt until I was done eating...
Read morebefore new ownership this was a 1 star location. if you see any reviews about this location being extremely slow it was before the new owners took over. you'd place an online order and it wouldn't be ready after an hour and you'd have to wait in line to pick it up even if you had prepaid. it was the actual worst subway i had ever been to.
it is now, hands down, the best subway location and it's right here in pembroke. they have curbside pickup and you also have the option to go in and pick up your online order off a shelf without waiting in line (similar to blackburg chipotle)
every change these new owners have made you just go "that makes sense, why didn't they do this before?"
thank...
