Veano's Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Pembroke

Mediocre is the best way to describe Veano's. It's more of an overgrown pizza place than an Italian restaurant, which I could excuse if the food was amazingly delicious. However, it's all very run-of-the-mill, boring "Italian" food mixed in with deli-style sandwiches, fried fish plates, soups, salads, and pizzas. Their pizza crust is very obviously pre-formed/frozen, and I find their tomato sauce to be a bit to acidic for my personal taste. They also use mascarpone and cream cheese for their cannoli filling (which also has chocolate chips, they don't do just "plain" filling) - where's the ricotta? Service and pricing are, you guessed it, pretty middle of the road. However, there is one great thing about Veano's: their grilled cheese sandwich. There's nothing fancy about it, they just use a lot of cheese and real butter on the bread. You can add bacon and tomatoes for a heartier sandwich - it's really worth the $5...

I want to say I have never ate here but the food was very good! My man and I ate here on August 16 Sunday and he got lasagna and I got manicotti Parmesan both were very good the sauce was very good! We had Carolina as our waitress and she was phenomenal she did such a good job and when we got there it was us and one other table she was waiting on. Then as we were sitting there I think she got about five tables after she was so good at going from one table to another table and making sure that everybody had everything that they needed. She also suggested some desserts which were very delicious my boyfriend got the tiramisu and I got the apple pie and both were very delicious;) I would say if you guys hire any more waitresses make sure they’re just like Caroline because she did a phenomenal job she was very fast-paced and very on her toes and very good with everything. Pricing is average and comparable to other restaurants. Food was awesome we had veal Parmigiano and chicken catchatory with calamari for an appetizer. We timed our visit just right so it wasn't real busy but there were other patrons coming in, turn around was pretty quick. Alot of orders were pick up also some were called in previously others were walk-in orders to carry out... about 50/50 on that, so to do that much business and dine in also, takes a very efficient team. The only restaurant I've ever been to where you don't have a problem locating the restroom... you'll just HAVE to visit to understand and appreciate THAT alone. .... go ahead I "double dog dare ya" .
