The King Seat Tavern — Restaurant in Penn Township

John Taffer of Bar Rescue needs to step foot in this place. Service was very poor, possibly due to being understaffed. One needs to order food and drinks at the bar and run a tab, but there is no sign to say so. The food took an hour and came piecemeal to the table. Only bar food was offered, no regular food, and it was poor quality. One chicken nugget in a wrap made it more like a McDonalds snack wrap for $15. A frozen cocktail was mostly ice and had no taste. I watched as the bartender did not have enough curacao in the bottle for the drink, took the top off, shook a few drips into the drink, then put the empty bottle back in the rack, not the trash can. The drink did not deliver the liquor as promised. There was a band in the back that was very loud. Sound ricochet off the metal ceiling. Little atmosphere. Talked to another patron in the parking lot who waited 2 hours for food that never came. ...

I honestly don’t know how this place has any positive reviews—unless they were written by friends of the owners or flat-out purchased. The bar/restaurant is a complete dump. The entire place felt dirty, but the restrooms were especially disgusting. The food was served on flimsy paper plates, which really tells you the level of effort they put into things. Unfortunately, the food itself was no better— just plain bad. To top it off, there’s no central A/C, only some weak window units that barely keep the place from being stifling. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. This place should be avoided...

I will update with photos next time I stop in. But this place is awesome. GREAT variety of beers, including foreign, domestic, lagers, IPAs... whatever. Prices are very reasonable. Love entertainment every Saturday night. Cheap pool table rates on level, well maintained Diamond tables. I've yet to experience a single grumpy person. Strangers mingle. The homemade food is absolutely awesome. The service is spot on all the time! Never a long wait for anything. Shannon is super awesome!
