Food 5 stars best pancakes around Service 3 stars only one waitress on a busy day Atmosphere 3 stars small family business not trying to wow people on looks but wow them on the food

Must visit small Cafe in Penndel PA. Our first time there and we were glad we stopped in. We walked in with another couple at 10:30 am on Memorial day and were greeted with, "we close at 11 and we don't want you sitting here talking for 2 hrs" . I was thinking wow that was a little harsh. After ordering the special of 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 slices of toast, sausage and home fries. We were surprised to see how much food came out, nice portion of home fries and 3 big sausage links. The Pancakes were delicious some of the best I have had, eggs were cooked exactly like we ordered the home fries are sliced thin and cut in half and were Crispy. I'm sure we could have gotten onion when the fries but we didn't ask. After talking to the owner being we were the last ones in the place, she was also the cook who yelled when we came in the door. This place has been in the family for 33 years she is the daughter of the original owner. She was super nice and was talking about how she doesn't really like cooking and would rather be out with the people harassing customers at a fun level. Now we can see why this place was packed and with repeat customers because she likes to have fun and serve good home cooked meals. Never judge a book by its cover, until you finish your experience than you will have a better understanding. We...

Visited this place with family. It was cute. Food was yummy.

Servers were all kind, friendly, and constantly coming over to the table.

It's hard to make a rating on certain aspects. Table etiquette would be one thing I want to touch on.

I sat back and watched a waitress come over to a table with a couple STILL enjoying their breakfast. The woman had her fork in hand, chewing her food when the waitress asked if her plate can be taken. STOP!! This is not cool.

Waitresses came over to our table while we were still eating, enjoying conversation amongst the 7 of us, reaching for items to remove off the table. Another HARD STOP. No one wants arms in their face every 4 minutes while they are eating. It felt like we were being rushed out of there. As much as I would say I'd be back, I don't think so, nor will those who I was with. Unless of course they learn to allow people to get finished the meal before they come taking items off the table.

Thanks...

This place is awesome, very comfortable and homey and their food is absolutely amazing. I guess you could call it a bit of a hole in the wall but in the best of ways. Seriously, my biggest problem with the place is deciding what I want - because it is all so good! You HAVE to try their sausage. I am pretty sure it is deep fried as that is the only way they could possibly get it to be so juicy! Their scrapple is impeccable - crisp on the outside, sliced nice and thick and soft on the inside. Their bacon is also virtually perfect. Their veggie omlet is absolutely on point as well. Service is excellent. I have no vested inteterest here I am just a huge fan. Great for bteakfast alone to read the paper or check your phone and a wonderful spot fot a breakfast date too! Make sure you get there before 2 as I believe that is when they close. Two visits ago I just missed it and left like a sad puppy. You really can't go wrong with...

So wonderful! My boyfriend and I ate there for breakfast today and we feel like we found a hidden gem! Absolutely loved our experience. We received a warm and friendly welcome when we walked in the door and helpful direction to sit anywhere which I really appreciated! Service was fast and attentive. Coffee cups line the walls, there is counter seats and table seats available. Street parking and a small parking lot on the side of the building. Our bacon, egg, and cheese bagels were delicious. The home fries were 10/10 too. I loved that the food seemed real and fresh and didn’t seem microwaved, frozen, or highly processed. Coffee was also hot, tasted great, and refilled several times without asking! And all for a fair/affordable price. We believe we have found our new favorite spot! Can’t wait to return and try other menu options. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
