⭐ 1 Star Review 📍 McDonald’s — New Oxford, PA 🗓️ Visit Date: Tuesday, October 21st, around 5:45 PM (Dinner shift)
I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but this visit was so frustrating and unacceptable that it needs to be shared.
I arrived at McDonald’s in New Oxford around 5:45 p.m. and placed my order at the self-service kiosk. I grabbed table tag #20, sat down, and waited for my food like usual. What followed was nearly 40 minutes of waiting for a simple order that never came.
After about 30 minutes, I walked up to the front to check on my food. There was no one at the register, so I had to flag down a worker. I politely asked about my order and whether I could get a discount for the excessive wait time. She looked at me, acknowledged me, and then simply walked away without saying a single word.
I then asked another woman for help. She brushed me off, said she didn’t know anything about my order, and ignored my request for a discount as well. When she returned, I asked to speak with the manager—only to find out she was the manager, and her name was Tammy.
When I expressed how frustrated I was with the poor service, Tammy’s response was:
“If you think you can do better, then you come in and run the McDonald’s.”
That’s not just unprofessional—it’s downright disrespectful to a paying customer who had already been waiting nearly 40 minutes without food.
At that point, I asked for a full refund. Tammy spent about two minutes messing with the register before telling me to tap my card to complete the refund.
The worst part? There were 12–15 employees working in the back, several other customers also waiting on their food for a long time, and absolutely no communication or sense of urgency from the staff. No apology. No accountability. No customer service whatsoever.
I’ve eaten at this location several times, and the service has consistently been horrible, but this visit was the worst by far. This is clearly a management and staffing issue—not a one-time mistake.
⚠️ If you value your time, avoid this location at all costs. There are plenty of other McDonald’s nearby that treat their customers with basic respect...

So it was a long day. I won't bore you with details but suffice it to say, it was awful. By 6:30, I was tired and hungry. I thought to myself, "Self, a quarter pounder with cheese, French fries and an ice cold Coke sound delicious. Let's stop by McDonald's".
Oh boy was I wrong. 😡
There are two lanes for ordering. Both were lit and there were no signs claiming"out of order. Myself and another car arrived at nearly the same time. I politely waved them forward and figured I'd just grab whichever lane remained. Keep in mind, I pulled up to the second intercom just seconds later. The other car ordered first. I had my window down in 28° weather, turned off my radio and I said, "hello" to the microphone, but no response. I waited. More cars arrived. 2 behind the other car. 1 behind me. The car behind the other order pulled forward, and ordered. Questioned the intercom, "hello?". I waited. The car behind the car behind the car that arrived with me, ordered. I spewed a profanity (which is very unlike me). I was done waiting. I drove away hungry. I'm still hungry.
This location isn't busy enough or inexpensive enough or just plain good enough to suffer through the regular and frequent garbage service that is offered here.
All I wanted was my greasy, sloppy, poorly built and overpriced burger, cold under-salted fries and a large cup of ice that tastes a bit like dishwater and Coke.
Today was not good. The absolute garbage fire that is this location pushed me over the edge. Here's a review.
If McDonald's gave 1/100th the care it did once about the actual business they're in, which is food service but instead only milking the last bits of its heritage and not just appeasing stock holders maybe I could grab a fast meal at an affordable price.
Oh well, Late Stage Capitalism at its finest. Time for some...
Read moreliterally all i can say is RAW FOOD. please be mindful and check your food before biting into it… this has not only happened once but TWO times now. the first time it was with a burger, we forgot to take a picture of it because we were so upset in the moment but my boyfriend did go in, complain, say it was unacceptable, and they replaced all of our food. yesterday, we stopped in again and what do you know? he got a RAW chicken sandwich this time! obviously he was livid so he went in, exclaimed his dissatisfaction as this literally is a serious issue that could end up making someone really sick, and in return we got new food and cursed out by the young manager as if it’s our fault she wasn’t properly managing her staff and allowing them to be serving out raw food. she also made a comment of “there’s always a possibility you can get raw food”… there should be NO possibility of that!! you should be checking the food as it’s going out…. it wasn’t even busy so there was really no excuse. needless to say we are done with this location and will be making the appropriate phone calls and sharing the pictures of the raw...
