Chef Moussa knocked it out of the park! Both the service and the food quality that I received at Chef Moussa is everything I look for when searching for a place to spend my hard earned money. They definitely earned my repeat business today!

From the moment I walked in I felt like I was welcomed. Greeted by Moussa himself, I could tell that he takes pride in his business and his menu. I asked him about a few items on the menu and he was excited to describe the differences and explain the flavor profile. Moussa then showed off his perfect score from their recent health department inspection.

I had an order of the humus with the fresh baked pita bread. It's the little things that make a big difference. Little things like making the pita bread fresh, from scratch. Little things like fresh, scratch made humus.

For the entree, I had the chicken shawarma and my dad had the classic gyro. Both made to perfection! I'm pretty sure that I had tears of joy and bliss after my first bite. For the sides we had the fries and a rice medley. Their fries, like the rest of everything there, were fresh, not frozen and cooked to perfection.

Their food is extremely affordable and in my opinion, under priced. Chef Moussa is an asset to Peoria and a hidden gem! Great work to the Chef Moussa team! I'm looking forward to my next...

Chef Moussa is a lovely place. It's where our small kids ask to go, where we can all sit around the table sharing delicious bites and stuffing pitas with different meats and sides. The hospitality is genuine and gracious and kind, the atmosphere is tidy and pleasant. The food is extremely good, pita is fresh and piping hot with steam escaping from it, with a lovely bready crumb that is not dry or too thin. The hummus and toum is delicious, personally the chicken kabob platter, gyro sandwich and grape leaves are our favorites. The grape leaves are unctuous in a way that I cannot replicate at home lol, just the thing for a sick day when nothing else sounds good. The chicken is juicy without tough chewy pieces and the gyro is the best we've had. Everyone working there has been delightful and kind and we leave feeling warm and well-fed in more ways than one. This is what memories are made of folks. If you appreciate fine mediterranean or middle eastern cuisine, gracious people and a quality meal served to you quickly then you will not be disappointed. Highly,...

My husband and I came here for a quick lunch date. A friend recommended this place to us when we first arrived in Peoria. We called ahead to place our order. I was so glad they allowed that because some places don't want you to call ahead if you plan on eating in house. Anyway, the food was hot and ready and on our table within 5 mins of us arriving. Now, we choose to eat plant-based but I am not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, so I wasn't sure how well I was going to like this place. But I kept an open mind and boy am I glad I did!! The first bite of the falafel was all I needed to be sold on this place! It was not dry, it was crispy on the outside, and SUPER flavorful! and Chef Moussa came by and gave us another way of eating the falafels that also was so good! Everything else we had was also soo good! We both were blown away and plan to be back! This is definitely a place where everyone can find plenty to eat on the menu and be very satisfied! The food was so good! The customer service was impeccable! What more can...

If I could give this place 100 stars I would! My husband and I love trying different foods and we've been to many of the local restaurants in the Peoria area and I am happy to say Chef Moussa's place is hands down our favorite!! You can taste the difference in the quality of the ingredients. It all tastes fresh with the true flavors coming through that are distinct. The food was piping hot and I mean it, that pita bread was steaming and out of this world. The hummus is legit and I can't even say enough good things about the falafel. They are huge, crisp, not greasy or hard and full of flavor. Don't get me started on the gyro meat, super juicy and flavorful and not greasy or mushy. The portions are also huge, my husband and I ordered two platters, an appetizer and a baklava assortment for dessert and we had three take home boxes when we left. All of this for a little over $50!! I would have paid double for this food. We will be back :)

Authentic. Fresh. Hot. Delicious. Our first time visiting and it won't be our last. If you have a mixed family (some vegan and some meat-eating) this is the place to go. They had a lot of vegan selections (clearly marked with a "V" on the menu). The portions were generous and the food tasted amazing. Best hummus I've ever had and the baba ganoush was perfect. We each got a sandwich, plus the vegetarian sampler. We wanted to try a little of everything. We took plenty home lunch the next day. The staff was super friendly and very helpful in us making our selections. The interior is a little small if you have a large party, but you could always get your food "to go". It feels like a small-town diner where they are going to remember you the next time you visit. We will definitely be back again.
