Waldos Tacos — Restaurant in Peoria

READ IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY ITS DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE!! i noticed alot of people are saying its not like before and they are exactly right. I feel i know a good reason why as i was in a relationship with "the sweet young lady with glasses" also was the cashier for years until she left a good while ago. When i was around i would go here all the time to drop her off and pick her up from work and even stay to eat alot of the times. the son of Mr Waldo is in charge of this food truck and he was a terrible boss simple as that. he would treat his employees (including a previous relationship like i mentioned) terrible, there was a few times she would request a day off for a medical reason or simply not being in good shape to work (throwing up and diarrhea) and as someone who graduated from culinary school and worked for top restaurants in AZ we all know thats a serious issue. but instead of the son trying to find a solution he would complain saying he cant find anyone and basically complained how he would have to be the one to come cover and try to make her feel guilty for calling off even tho she would work every shift for a year straight before. There is many more situations of course. BUT the reason its not the same is the employees got sick of being treated so terrible and i wont say the amount but being paid TERRIBLE they went on to better places or even starting there own food trucks i believe. but its sad that a son has to treat his employees so bad through out those years for the place to be completely different. but I personally believe thats why its so different now is because they had a great staff before but once they needed a little help or a day off. Goodbye! new one in.

Well while my sister and I were hunting the best tacos we found our favorite lil gem and we ordered our food and when looking for a warm spot ( they refused to turn on the heaters bc she insisted no one knew how to turn them on) well the table we wanted to enjoy our late night they refused to clean our table bc there was “another” table that was clean ummm terrible customer service I was so weirded out bc there owner is a family friend I was like are you hiring bc I have customer service experience I was so let down bc Waldo is the sweetest :/ I hope with his restraunt thriving he doesn’t lose his quality service #handsdown food and all :/ poor service Saturday December 7th then went inside truck and didn’t cleanup I could’ve took my business to another taqueria !
