Wow, C&S Pizza absolutely knocked it out of the park with their roast beef sandwich! I've been on this amazing North Shore roast beef adventure for about three months now and have hit up 22 spots so far - and let me tell you, this place is something special.

I'll be honest, I kept putting off the drive from Cambridge because it's a bit of a trek, but I'm so glad I finally made it out there! Out of all the places I've tried, there are some good ones, a few duds, and then there are those rare gems that just blow you away - C&S is definitely in that top tier.

Their BBQ sauce is incredible - it tastes like the classic James River sauce we all know and love, but with their own little twist that makes it just a touch spicier and absolutely perfect. The bun was beautifully toasted and served at just the right temperature, and the cheese and mayo were spot on. But the star of the show? That beef! Perfectly sliced, cooked to perfection, and served nice and hot. Everything came together beautifully.

What really made my day though was the service. The cook (maybe the owner?) actually brought my sandwich right to the table and we ended up having this great little chat about my roast beef journey. When I mentioned what I was doing, he got so excited and started talking about other top spots like Bella's and Modern Butcher. Such a genuinely nice guy! Food is under seasoned and just flavorless. Alot of people around here recommend it and are loyal to this establishment but my money is hard earned and I can't afford to settle for bland food. Pizza Pizzaz next to Donlans, since being taken over by the present owners (and has no relation to that joke in Townsend ) is far and away the better food and service , and it's not even close. I understand loyalty but I have to say taste is most important when it comes to food so don't sell yourself short by coming here its just not worth it. Ordered up a 'North Shore Beef'. Regular, 3-way on onion roll, light mayo, light 🐴 • TOB - 12:29pm POB - $16.74 w/ a bottle root beer TIB - Ate this goodness in-house! FPW - ⭐️wicked fresh, wicked pink, wicked warm. ALL of it! No gray. ❤️ FOB - ⭐️great flavor! Sliced thin, but not shredded, great consistency, how beef should be!
