Do you know of anyone who seems to have a knack for producing food that just tastes amazing?
My grandmother was one of those people. One of the things she used to make that would attract all sorts of people in the neighborhood to eat, was her famous Sunday morning home fries.
I asked her how she did it and she mentioned that it was of course the quality of the ingredients and the secret ingredient love.
And while I loved her homefries, I never quite figured out how to infuse the ones I make with the same caliber of love she managed to put into hers.
This place is full of love, from the décor, to the staff and of course very importantly the food they serve.
I am a vegetarian and have enjoyed a bunch of the options they have offered and on more than one occasion ordered the salads and was blown away at how amazing they tasted.
Asking myself, " How is it this tastes so good, I've used similar ingredients in salads before.. what is it that makes this so amazing, and why don't my own homemade salads taste like this ???"
My only answer harkens back to my grandmothers simple reply, "Quality of the ingredients and love"
Its obvious to me that this place must use some of the best ingredients and have some of the highest amount of love poured into it than 99.99 percent of places I've eaten at.
While I haven't figured out how to pour as much love into the making of my own food, I figure id pay my appreciation forward of my love for eating theirs -
P.S excited about their upcoming...
Read moreWe have been really looking forward to finally trying the TLB. We are "newer" to town and were thrilled to hear about a new restaurant opening. We are not let down at all... we had the haddock entree, which was served with whipped potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts with some kind if heavenly glaze, who knows. The food was delicious, served hot and cooked to perfection. Everything tasted delicous. We were actually surprised that they serve wine and beer as well and their wine selection was great considering it's a smaller place. The decor is warm and relaxing, I felt completely comfortable and the lighting is perfect! Honestly, the food was so good and we ended dinner with a puff pastry and french press coffee! Again, we weren't let down. The puff pastry is made right there, along with the homemade bread! Everything is super fresh, we will be going...

I’ve been watching the menus for awhile and finally decided to call in an order and so glad we did!
Started with the Buffalo chicken puffs - lots of yummy filling and quite possibly the best homemade ranch I’ve ever had. Home run here you have to try these!
Today they had corn chowder which was chock full of veg, and amazing! Lots of bacon and potatoes everything a corn chowder should be.
We both had the pork loin sandwiches - extremely tender with a fantastic gravy. I must say we felt the potatoes wedges were over done, but were so blown away by everything else it didn’t matter.
Service was quick and extremely friendly, cute little dining room and plenty of parking too!
I’ll definitely be paying more attention to their ever changing menu -...
