This is a fun hometown bar. I arrived around opening and it was fun observing the regulars coming into the lounge. The bartender knew them by name, and they’d clearly shared dozens of stories together over years. It was very wholesome and gives a real vibe of being welcome and accepted. It reminded me of Cheers but in the Midwest.
There are a few TVs with usual sports and other programs to view while sipping your drink or eating some well-made food. The selections are pretty varied with a few taps and a fridge full of bottled consumables.

If your looking for a place that is slow and the people there are so bored with their lives that they talk about you and judge you when you walk in the door, EXCUSES LOUNGE IS THE PLACE TO BE. Its sad we live in a world where a person cannot express themselves thru their physical features without being bullied by old men and a bartender that does not stop the bullying or harassing. Also, even if you do not have a drink or just have a drink with food, don't be surprised if an officer pulls up behind you when you get in your car before you get a chance to leave.
