Restaurant was clean and recently remodeled. Food was hot and fast from carry-out. Green chili burger should have been left of the menu. I should have recognized the omen when the cashier rang up a California burger, and said that would work. It was my error to argue, and plead that she ring up the green chili. She even added green chili to the California meal, but that brought it to nearly 9 bucks and I asked her to re-ring the purchase, with the actual green chili burger. If the cashier, that appears rather experienced, can't find the key... Because they never sell the item, that should be a clue (and I think I'll adopt that as a fast food rule). Now to address the corporate side of product testing. It would be a really good idea for someone to taste green chili before they stick it on the menu. It may have been a bad batch, but there was really no hope for that stuff to be anything but maybe tile cleaner. It had a good texture for scrubbing, and I did have some heat, so there had to be some cleaning or sanitizing value there. It shouldn't get near a bun... Ever... Stay away from the green chili (unless you are cleaning tile) and you should have a good...
Read moreThis was my first time to a Braum's. I was surprised to see produce and diary products as we walked through the door. I guessed there was ice cream - and it was very good.
The idea was to eat. When I asked for something without meat - oops, I think I shocked the vice nice and friendly people. So I settled for ice cream, and bought a couple of bananas.
My wife had a hamburger. She did not want ketchup and understood it would not be on the hamburger - well it was on it.
She ate it and then had some delicious ice cream.
We will definitely stop and Braum's for ice cream again, but probably not to eat a meal there. If the other locations have friendly folks like this one, then it will be a winner for us.

They were not too busy today to excuse the reason why I got the saddest little double sundae in the world today... It did not even fill the sundae bowl and they failed to put the top on correctly, just laziness there, which is very irritating in itself. I guess it's a good thing it wasn't full or made correctly or it would have spilt all over my car beings how the top was not securely on. scoop is more like a half a scoop. Barely any toppings.
