Mama's Italian Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Perry

We ate at this local restaurant when we were househunting— and now that we own a home in this community we eat here at least a couple of times a month. I’m actually a native of South Jersey so I’m really picky about Italian food. This place is amazing. The consistency is really what it’s all about. I have no doubt that the consistency of these recipes has been in place for decades and passed through the family. It’s a family restaurant so it has family style seating. It’s not trying to be super fancy and I think that’s how they keep their prices so insanely affordable. I also think this family loves this community and they do not raise their prices to make sure that everybody, including the retired folks and young families can continue to enjoy the food. And yes, the presence of a really good Italian restaurant influenced my homebuying.🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ and I’m not sorry either. The lunch menu is fantastic. They do really reasonable sandwiches big gorgeous salads and the dinner menu is delightful. It’s also about twice as expensive to eat dinner as it is to eat lunch so if you’re on a budget and eating out is a splurge for you. You will never be disappointed if you go get lunch here. The facility definitely needs to be renovated, needs new floors new ceiling and just overall restoration. We were driving through Perry and we were desperate to have some dinner. The outside the building looks a little run-down but there are several cars in the parking lot and for us if the locals like to eat there that means it's got good food. We were seated fairly quickly. I had spaghetti and meatballs and my friend had chicken parmesan. They had a very large menu and lots of different choices more then Italian cuisine. My meal started with my Caesar salad and breadsticks. The salad was fresh and very tasteful I wish I had asked for more, the mini garlic breadsticks were soft and very tasteful we did ask for more of those. Both meals were very large portioned they were very tasteful and more then satisfying. My meatballs were both ground beef and Italian sausage which was a very pleasant surprise and the chicken parmesan was very tasteful and we enjoyed it a great deal. Great experience! We chanced upon Mama's on our way to Tallahassee!! We were celebrating Valentine's Day ofcourse and a coincidental birthday. Mama's and team made the birthday special and we love that 💞 Thank you Mama's Italian Restaurant!!

We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and the amazing moist chocolate cake was the talk for the rest of the weekend!! Delicious 😋 The veggie flatbread, penne in pink sauce with sausage, shrimp scampi, chicken sandwich and the meatballs were delectable!! The complimentary garlic bread sticks were great too! The chocolate cake stole the show!!

A special shout out to Jess for her wonderful & memorable service! Delightful conversations and giggles throughout the time we spent at the restaurant! Everyone at the restaurant had a smile on their faces and were ready to help! Great food & great service, a winning combination!!

It's a family run restaurant with well crafted Italian fare and the owners' history shared on the restaurant wall. We watched many patrons enjoy their meals! We hope this restaurant continues to flourish!
