So here we are, Friday night in North East, Maryland. We have been living here for a little over a month. Since pizza is an essential food group, the search began for a place I can get a decent slice. Every place in North East, MD all the way to Newark, DE was pretty disappointing. As I was planning on how we were gonna take trips up to NJ/NY my wife found this little spot in Perryville, MD... Not too far from us. At first I was hesitant because of what I seen in the area, but thought why not. And boy am I glad we did. First impression walking into the place was very underwhelming to be honest. Tiny little spot, not alot on display (To their defense it was almost 7pm). What kept me was the line of people waiting for orders and the fact that every customer was greeted by name with alot of enthusiasm from the staff. We ordered meatballs, 1 slice each of pepperoni, buffalo chicken, and philly, and 2 pizza rolls. I don't know how they make that Marinara sauce for the meatballs, but that is hands down some of the best I have had anywhere. Meatballs were flavorful and not too bready like you get in some places. The pizza was cooked to perfection, great topping to cheese and sauce ratio, absolutely minimal flop on the crust. Great taste with just a nice light crunch when you bite. All had great flavor. I wish I had ordered the spinach stuffed rolls just to try them out, I liked the ones we got but since I got the pepperoni pizza I would of liked to switch it up a little. We left beyond satisfied and even took a cheesecake and cannoli to go, both were excellent. Needless to say they have earned two new customers... I already have in mind the next visits order. If your in the area give this place a try... You will...
Read moreI placed an order for a pizza at 7:47pm on Monday night , their hours say they are open until 8:30 pm . I drove all the way from Aberdeen leaving immediately after ordering pizza because of previous experience with great food , arrived at 8:19pm to find the place dark & locked up while the owner or worker watched me get out of the car , stopped in road and then continued to drive off . The hours online are until 8:30 pm , I looked online and it still said open . I wasted gas , $ & time driving to support a business who couldn’t even bother to call me back & ask if I was close or still coming etc . I worked in the restaurant business for many years and know that a phone call to someone is good business practice to let them know they will be closing soon . Will NEVER eat or recommend this place again which is a shame because it’s been a go to for my family for...
Read moreUsed to be my favorite place ever but wow they were extremely rude because I was squinting my eyes trying to read their menu on the wall the guy waved his hand in my face like he thought ... Well I'm not sure what he thought or why he did that. I responded with I'm trying to see your menu I don't have my glasses. Also they were all just standing there staring at me rudely imagine standing there waiting for your pizza while 6 men are just staring at you and doing nothing else. Not to mention the slices are tiny now and it was 8 something for 2 tiny slices crazy! Id much rather go to Gs pizza in elkton at least the slices are double the size and cheaper and taste much better! Sad to know my once favorite pizza place has turned into this! 5...
