Karlee's Subworks — Restaurant in Perryville

Subworks is one of my favorite local restaurants that I'm disappointed in 15% of the time. I've placed a lot of orders here and was pretty hooked after the first one. The pizza is always great, it's consistently good. In fact, I go out of my way to pick it up when I bring pizza for game nights or other events.

The subs are good, but like other reviewers mentioned, can be a little light on the meat on cheese steaks. And they don't put the cheese on the steak before putting it on the roll. Other than that it's really good. Go extra meat and extra cheese and you'll be happy.

As far as the other food. It's kind of hit or miss. The fried pickles are good, but don't expect many (like half of a deli dill worth), and they have a great sauce for it, but if you get delivery it's only going to be included about 20% of the time. The crab pretzel is OK. It's not a ton of crab meat, but honestly for $10 it's pretty much to be expected.

Long story short, If you like NY style pizza, it's a great place. The subs are good (specially the Italian) If you order the cheese steak right, it's good too. Worth checking out, for a first time get the pizza...

Looking for a sub, decided to try Subworks as has 4.4 stars. After telling them this is our first time there, they were friendly. To go menu stated Overstuffed 21" super size Italian sub was $12.99 as were all the cold subs in that section. My husband ordered another sub and paid. I asked him the total which was over $38. When I went back up.and asked why I was told the Italian was really $16.99 and the new menu was wrong. She checked with manager and came back saying they know there are errors on new menu which are being reprinted, but no offer to make it right to us the customer. By the way, if you order online it also says $12.99 NOT $16.99. Also, it is NOT overstuffed as 3 very thin slices of different meats & 1 cheese but lots of lettuce & thin onions, so not a good bread to meat ratio. Asked for bread toasted, but was not toasted. So this was our first and last time as was charged over 30% more than menu and online price and menu description are false and misleading!! Come from Baltimore to get pizza. Has always been delicious. However on August 2, 2025 it was horrible. All the toppings were under the cheese. It was so soggy.I asked my server if someone new was making the pizza that day. She said there was. She said she was sorry after I told her how dissatisfied I was with the pizza. I called the manager later on that day and she said she would give me a credit. That has not happened. I’m so disappointed because this was my favorite place for pizza. I would at t least expect a coupon or something to receive a free pizza in the future. I took 2 pizzas home that day thinking they would be better if reheated later on.
