Plaza Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Perth Amboy

i came in 11/4 right before 6pm. there was 3 other tables. i came with two friends to snack on some yummy food but the service i received was horrendous. we ordered our food and i asked for a jugo fresca. i waited 10 minutes before waving the woman down to ask about the drink. she told me to hold on and that she’ll get to it when she can. it took another 7 minutes for her to get my drink. at that point i already picked out a different drink from the fridge. the people that came in 15 minutes after us got their food way before us. i’m not understanding why????? this place was better years ago. not sure if it’s under different...

So, food is great in my opinion. However, I have order here multiple times and I feel like they charge me more money because of our language barrier. I don't speak Spanish well. My last encounter I ordered for pick up, got a certain price on the phone and when I arrived to pick up it was $6 more. When I questioned it the spoke in Spanish and gave a shady vibe. Could've been an error but my husband said he had a similar experience. And I've felt the price was questionable for what was ordered before. Food was good but it was served COLD. We were a group of five. Waited about 40-50 mins on a Saturday night, which I don’t mind and I understand its a busy night. But I do expect our orders to be warm. Our orders were Tacos de Lengua and Birria, Bistec Encebollado Estilo Garibaldi , Bistec Asada Estilo Garibaldi, and an Al Pastor Huarache. The tortillas and the meat for both tacos were COLD not even lukewarm or room temperature, which is disappointing. Rice and Beans for both Garbaldi orders were COLD.
