This was our 1st visit to Petal, Mississippi's newest dine in restaurant, and I'll admit, that I had high hope's, that said, here's what I thought...
I am going to start with service, of which I have no complaints, because they were friendly, responsive, and prompt. Good service, without a doubt. Food wise, I thought for the market they are in, along with the decor of the building, that they were overpriced. As far as portion size, it was adequate. The highlight of the meal was the Marinara itself & the reason I'll go back to try something else. That said we had the Cheesy Bread as an appetizer, and she had the Lasagna While I had the Cannelloni, as you can see in the photos I have included, you really can't tell them apart the way they are plated, they both just look like little casseroles. Now as far as taste, they were good with the star of the show being that Marinara. The main reason we had lunch here was to try the Tiramisu, because it is one of our favorite Desserts & we were hoping that theirs would be worth driving to town to enjoy with a good cup of coffee, but it wasn't. In the end we were full and had enjoyed our meal. Decor Wise, I had high hope's & got nothing, but what appears to be a gutted Pizza Hut. I guess I thought there would be some sort of themed decor, as opposed to none. Contrary to how some of this might sound, we will be going back to dine there, and hope that they will have a very successful restaurant here in Petal, because we need more locally owned Restaurant Options in Petal as opposed to the plethora of chain restaurant's scattered across...
Read moreWe spend a lot of money here and we always order take out so we use the take out menu. We ordered about 100$ worth of stuff and it said salads were included with some of the entrees. When we got there the salads were not there and when we asked about it they said we had to pay 6$ per salad. We asked why it said it was included if it isn't and the owners were very rude about it and refused to make it right. Its sad cause we used to like this place but spending a lot of money already and having to pay nearly 20$ for salads that were supposed to come with the meal isn't fair. Its a tiny salad and I have no idea why they charged us 6$ for them when even the menu says a small side salad should only be 3$. In really disappointed and we will find somewhere else to go...
Read moreRelaxed atmosphere. Don't expect someone to grind your pepper or parmesan. We had the Lobster Ravioli, Cannelloni & Lemoncello Cake. The ravioli was stuffed full and delicious- more stuffing than pasta. The pink sauce was amazingly thick and creamy with real tomatoes. The Cannelloni was meaty and delicious without being overloaded with spices. The Red sauce was tomato heaven. We couldn't believe our first taste of the Lemoncello Cake. It was so light we each had to take six more bites to make sure we were really eating cake. Absolutely heavenly. Worth the...
