Catfish Corner Express — Restaurant in Petal

We’ve been here multiple times, and we ordered our regular meal as always, two catfish plates and a fried shrimp plate. It was so salty I couldn’t even eat one whole piece of catfish - not to mention there was a long black hair that was within the box. I returned my meal of catfish (my son and wife pushed through theirs with a gallon of water each) to let them know, and they offered no refund. Only offered to recook the meal and a gift card to come back. Why would I want a recook with the same batter that contained what seemed like a pound of salt? No thanks for either. I found out that ownership had changed, but they said everything else was the same(workers and recipes). I would have to disagree based on previous and recent experience....

Oh holy fried goodness, Batman! Now I understand why that corner is impassable in the evenings they are open. Order before you go! It helps the line move faster, but it's worth waiting in that line. The fried fish is incredible. The hush puppies....I could live on those hush puppies alone! And the best coleslaw....yummy. Those ladies can fry up some incredible yummy goodness. Even the french fries are totally delicious, AND I DON'T REALLY LIKE FRIES.

If they ever opened up a bigger restaurant, I'd give up...

Have eaten here several times. My visit yesterday was not up to standards. The filets were very small & very overcooked...to the point where half of the filets didn't seem to contain any fish. I had hushpuppies yesterday also which were wonderful along with their great coleslaw. I do hope that this was a fluke bc I've always enjoyed...
