Mi Patio Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Petersburg

We had a party of eight, with 3 of those being children, and while it was busy, they did seat us right away. Our waiter was very good. It didn't seem like they had enough wait staff because our waiter seemed to be taking care of half the restaurant by himself, but he did an excellent job and was tipped well for his service. The food was good but didn't come out quick and wasn't very hot. Again, our server did great keeping us supplied with drinks and fresh chips. I think the kitchen staff may have been understaffed and been overwhelmed. It definitely was the slowest that I have ever had food served at a Mexican restaurant. I would go back again, but maybe after they have been in the new...

The food is great and well made, nothing under cooked. The beef is seared but not burnt. the chicken has a good flavor that is savory and satisfied the chicken craving. Sadly the tomatoes in my burrito where cooked for to long and where soggy n limp, but still had a good flavor. My biggest complaint is that i wasn't aware my burrito had guacamole till the last couple bites, for there was only one scoop and was not spread throughout. The chips and salsa are great. The chips came warm, are crisp, and are nice n large. The salsa is good but smells exactly like a lunchable's tomato paste for the pizza, and taste similar. It was thick for a salsa but was perfect for adding to the food...

We frequently Dine-in and order Carry-out from MI Patio, all staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food is always the same, Amazing. My family and I never have any issues with our order being correct or cooked a specific way. The best part about to-go orders is by the time it takes us to order and drive 3 miles into town it's almost always ready for us and if we have to wait it's no more than 2-3 minutes. Even in a pinch one time we ordered 14 full meals for a party and picked everything up in under 25 minutes. I'd say give this place a shot if you haven't already....
