I was visiting my dad in Philly and I had planned on enjoying a nice dinner that was wheelchair accessible and that he would enjoy. Googled Spanish Food and came across a simple looking restaurant with some well presented photos of some delicious food. We drove about twenty minutes and when I asked if I can bring my dad in a wheelchair the host of the restaurant was welcoming, super kind and polite. She setup a table to accommodate my dad in the wheelchair, my sister and myself. We ordered a feast of foods and everything we ordered was made with Love and Great Flavor.. The food presentation was of a high end restaurant in a simple family owned restaurant and they catered to all of our requests. This is one place I plan on visiting every time I come to Philly.. GREAT LITTLE PLACE.. Food well worth their prices.. Give them a try, you will love them, like we did.. Excuse the half eaten Flan, got excited and started eating before I took the picture.. 😂🤣 Thanks The Santos Family

I told my cousin from Puerto Rico about this spot because I seen pictures about it and told her that I wanted to visit it when she came down from Puerto Rico. We placed an order and had to wait an hour and a half, but because we had high hopes of this food being so good we decided to wait When we receive the food The packaging was fine But when we opened up the carne Frita We noticed how overcooked the The meat was The flavor was good, but the meat was extremely hard and dry. Also the tostones Were Just full of pepper and a huge Ball of garlic thrown on top of the tostones. This was extremely sad being as though I Was excited to try this place with my cousin, and this was a total letdown.

I wish that I could say the experience was worth going to the other side of town. Food was good. However, the wait staff was so unhappy to be there. Then, the atmosphere of genuine Latin cuisine stopped at the beautiful pictures on the walls. They had Dominican CNN playing on the big screen TV. So while we were eating we learning about breast cancer along with video in how the disease progresses. But wait, the best part was the angry "mouse" that popped out of the vent just behind us. We chose to leave our leftovers, something we never do but they need to do better. They are super capable of improving, but we won't be coming back.

I'm giving it 1 star. The spot is somewhat nice, but very small. But the one star rating is due to receiving one portion of my food half raw, and the other dish completely wrong. This was a takeout order. I called to let them know about the food, and was advised by one of the bilingual girls to bring the food to receive a refund. I did just that. The one that originally gave me my food went, and told the owner that I wanted a refund. The owner who's a male came at me completely rude. He was an unprofessional, mean, rude, arrogant, low self esteem, chauvinist that needs to seek professional help to heal from his unresolved childhood trauma. I, at no moment disrespected this male nor anyone of his workers, yet he was being disrespectful, and putting me down. Obviously, did not know how to talk to a woman. I'm a pretty chill, understanding person. I get life. I just wanted what I ordered or a refund. I had never experienced something like this. He didn't even want to refund me even after one of his workers told me to bring the food back for a refund. He said, "I'm the owner, and you're not getting a refund". This male acted like his life depended on the $15 he needed to refund me. His attitude quickly changed when my husband came in, proving that he's in fact a coward as well. Taught with women, but not with men. It was shameful. I will never step foot in this business again. I feel sorry for the females working under him because I can only imagine the abuse they have to endure from him. It looked like the one girl seemed concerned/scared. Men, please protect the women in your life...

The Worst Dining Experience of My Life — Avoid at All Costs This place should come with a health warning. First, my food showed up with a hair on top of my salad, Absolutely revolting. Then my husband’s “fresh fish” smelled like it had been dead for a week and dragged through a landfill. When we complained, instead of apologizing, The owner come to the table argued with us and proudly announced they had “tasted the fish themselves” that’s very disgusting and found nothing wrong. Honestly, that explains a lot about the quality standards here — if rotting fish taste normal to them, I don’t even want to imagine what their kitchen looks like. If I could give this place zero stars, I would, it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. My dish came out with a hair in it — absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. As if that wasn’t bad enough the fish reeked of decomposition. They’re serving spoiled fish and gaslighting customers into thinking it’s fine? Save your time, your money, and your health — DO NOT EAT HERE. This place isn’t just bad — it’s dangerous. Save yourself the trauma. Eat literally anywhere else. Absolutely...

Overall, the experience was not as I expected.

The chicken and shrimp with garlic was lukewarm, not hot. The tostones were hot, but had to send them back and get new ones bc they added adobo even though I had ordered them without salt. (Guess they don’t know abodo has a lot of salt!)

The pernil was lukewarm and had a funny taste, not freshly made, more like it was left over from the day before. The rice and beans were good. The mofongo was good.

Be aware: the menu doesn’t have prices and we had to pay in cash even though they have credit card logos listed at the door and by the cashier. Apparently, they don’t accept credit cards on the weekends. There is no sign posted that says this. I suggested to the host to let people know before they order that they only accept cash despite the credit card logos being posted, and her answer was, but we have an ATM machine. I asked if it was free and she said no. So moral of the story, make sure you bring cash with you if you want to eat here and be sure to reinforce any dietary restrictions you may have more than once to ensure they...
