I drove 54 minutes to one of my restaurants just to leave disappointed and never coming back

If you like cocktails I suggest you Don’t waste your money and try them. Unless you’re an alcoholic and like cheap straight liquor They are not using proper mixing ratios. I’ve came here plenty of times and I’ve never left as dissatisfied as today. the service was terrible, but I didn’t come there for the service. I came there for the food and the drinks. I ordered a pastry from the Valentine menu. The pastry was dry and it wasn’t good, we ordered the trio of the ceviche from the appetizer menu that was also undercooked usually it’s cooked in lime. There wasn’t enough lime in the mixture to properly cook the raw seafood I asked the server if the seafood was cooked in lime and she said the seafood was pre-cooked, but it did not look pre-cooked so I did not consume it. I packed it up and brought it with me because I can cook it with more lime juice, but another bummer. but whatever my food came I order the bandeja paisa my beans were undercooked, it seemed like they mix old beans and new beans. My Valentines trio cocktail shots came out and they were disgusting, straight alcohol. They were not mixed at all or properly use mixing ratios. all this on top of terrible service , my server took forever to come to the table to take my order, I placed my order. She forgot to bring out my shots when i ordered them, fine but they were not good. I didn’t say anything but I was already annoyed, at the end. I asked her if she could please takeoff the shots off the bill because they were not good and I was not gonna consume them she said no that’s what your order that’s how they’re made. I asked her you guys don’t mix the shot. She said no that’s how they make them. I’ve never heard of that. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before and it just seems like mixing ratio are nonexistent. i also mentioned how my beans were undercooked and she said she couldn’t do anything about it that I was the first customer to complain, that customers have been consuming all day and there was nothing she could do. I said OK that’s fine. Can you please get your manager I would like to speak to her. The manager came over and I explain what was going on and as well she didn’t wanna hear it. She said she could do nothing about the drinks so that’s how they were made and I said OK that’s fine. I asked to Please take off the auto gratuity of 17% gratuity. I would like to leave gratuity on the food I consumed, she took off the gratuity Off the percentage of the cocktails. I’ve never heard restaurants were legally allowed to charge a 18% gratuity on parties under 2 on my receipt it said it was a party of 5 when it was a party at 2. For the price and the experience definitely not worth coming, there are other alternative restaurants with authentic Hispanic cuisine & hospitality , not where you’re going to be gaslighted. this was the worst Resturant experience. I’ve yet experience awful. Didn’t offer a resolution all they said was nope that’s how they we make the drinks. Nope the beans are fine. There’s no problem with them. Just terrible customer service and poor...

Great food and the BEST piña coladas but service at the bar is the WORST. I have been to this restaurant several times and sit down service is always amazing inside the restaurant but the few times I have just wanted to sit at the bar n have an appetizer and drink the service is consistently negligent.

The bartenders walk back and forth and will not even look at you, you have to wave them down (and often that isn't successful) or stop one of the servers who are busy tending their tables and ask them for help.

I took some friends from outta town here recently and a bartender, when I tried to wave her down to ask a question about our drinks, had the nerve to keep walking, waved her hand to say “one second” with her back to me, and disappeared.

First of all it wasn't even that busy at the bar, but even if it was common courtesy says it takes no time to turn around, look at a paying customer and say with your mouth “give me one second I will be right back” even if it is in passing.

(Side bar: It also doesn't hurt to check in with your customers every once in a while, to check if they like their drink or ask if they want to order anything etc., I thought thats how bartenders made their money.)

This is also after I had to ask a server when we first got there if there was a bartender working on the side of the bar we were on because she was nowhere to be found and me and my friends were just sitting there, along with another guy who was getting antsy about not even getting acknowledged when he came in.

Its no wonder they have to include the tip amount into the price on the receipt because she would have gotten nothing from me. And had she been polite she would have gotten more than that forced tip because we were flirting with the idea of getting food but figured if she was like this with one drink for each of us ordering food with her would have been a nightmare as well.

This is a very popular restaurant in the area and the city but it would be ashame if all that popularity is going to peoples heads causing them to disregard the impact of plain...

Easter Sunday, me and my family were hungry and looking for some delicious Hispanic food. We all chose Tierra Colombiana. We were greeted by a kind gentleman who seated us. The place looked busy, in fact so busy that our server took around 30 minutes to come to our table. (Of course I’m being sarcastic, it wasn’t crazy busy) There were some empty tables. And the tables around us were being attended by a server, but us. After all that time waiting my husband got mad and asked one of the servers for the bill (the busser only had served us water and bread) the server looked at our table and asked ¿pero bill de que? My husband only replied: “from all the food I ate, I’m stuffed” obviously he was being sarcastic. Then he told the server that we had been waiting for 30 minutes for a server. And then she apologized and said she was going to check what was going on. She came back and told us we weren’t on the list but she was gonna help us. The lady took our order and we waited, and waited, and waited. Then came another server whose name was Selena and started apologizing trying to explain that there was something wrong with the system and blah, blah, blah. We noticed other tables that arrived after us and were promptly served. They left before us. She was very kind and apologized many times, however, we arrived around 12:30pm and it was 1:56pm and we were still waiting for our food. Our patience was stoic at this point and we were hangry. 2:00 pm and our food was nowhere near us. Seriously I was pissed!!! 1 1/2 hrs. hungrily waiting. I party of three was seated next to us and then ten minutes after they arrived, their order was taken and they didn’t wait for long to be served. Like WTF!! The server kept apologizing and I understand that sometimes things get out of hand but 1 1/2 hr waiting?! Come on!!! Me and my family used to go to this restaurant for special occasions, but I don’t know what happened that day. A total...

Tuesday night i wanted somethin diff I had a taste for Latin flavors, I remembered the Dominican salmon with creme capers sauce & mash garlic potatoes that I ordered several months ago while dining in with a large party of family celebrating a traditional birthday. I googled, searched Yelp, called 2order pickUp; I left my cell# + name....30mins l8r, my friend picked the foodUp, I reminded him, salmon, mash potatoes and sweet plantains for $22 bucks. I learned a few lessons that night: ALWAYS ✔ ya Order ONSITE...15mins later (at the table) to my dismay, no plantains or mashed potatoes & this Salmon has sweet peppers/onions😵 I called immediately, & was placed on superHOLD, to the point whereas I start putting my clothes back on cause they're closing in an hour. After holding over 20mins & asking for a Mgr, she finally suggested I come in (As IF I Didn't Already packUp everything; Even the medium container of yellow rice & beans) I returned the mgr seemed bothered by annoyance as I asked for a refund. She dryly offered to correct the order🤨. I was skeptical & obviously hungered 🤯I agreed & began to Pray. 20mins later, I came back inside, my food was poorly wrapped in a used plastic bag, she almost implied that I owed 55cents more til I gave her the look of utter Irritation.😶 Another 15mins, back home, the portion was super small, the salmon was dry but the sauce is what saved the entire dish. The mash was bland, the plantains not evenly cooked, the thin pieces were ripe and sauteed to perfection of course the big chunks were starchy, unsweetened & disgusting to chew 😟 Most annoying, Ms Mgr didNot giveUp the beans & rice👎instead of exhibiting any empathy she turns petty & withholds complimentary sides. She didn't offer a desert or a beverage for the wait, miscommunication or gas used to Return. Np, I Will not ride down the Blvd again for this shenanigans

I had a bad experience yesterday at Tierra Columbiana. For starters, the waitress did the bare minimum. Usually, upon being seated, the waitress would take our drink orders and bring the house bread to the table. She did not do so. Instead, after placing both our beverage and lunch order, I had to request the house bread. She slightly rolled her eyes, smirked and said ok. Later, after our meal came out, the sauce that accompanied my meal was served in a takeout container, though I was dining in. Whereas the other party with whom I was eating, received her sauce in the sauce dish that is standard with the meal, even though we both ordered the same meal. When I removed the lid to the sauce container there was a white film sitting on top of the sauce. Any cook knows that white film on red sauce is an indication of mold. When I brought this to the waitress' attention, she wanted to convince me that it was not something in the sauce but "how the sauce is." Ok. So I requested the same sauce in a sauce dish, which it should've come in initially anyway. She again smirked and said ok. When I received the sauce it was clearly evident that the initial sauce in the takeout container was in fact old and spoiled. The new sauce was definitely "brighter" in color, giving evidence that it was fresher. See the photos. I usually don't give reviews and instead will not patronize a place of business if poor service is received. However, this is my second time in recent months eating at Tierra and the service has been sub par and the food mediocre. It is time we hold establishments accountable for less than good service or quality food, especially as paying customers.

Tierra Colombiana Restaurant in Philadelphia offers an authentic Colombian dining experience with a twist of universal appeal. The menu is diverse, featuring everything from cocktails and salads to variously prepared meats and soups, catering to a broad palate. The lively and energetic atmosphere is enhanced by vibrant music and decor that transports you to a quaint Colombian locale. The restaurant strikes the perfect balance between busy and bustling without feeling overcrowded, creating a pleasant, high-energy environment. The servers are not only knowledgeable and attentive but also charming and ready with great suggestions to enhance your dining experience. While the food is moderately priced, the quality and taste make it worth every penny. Although street parking can be a bit tricky, persistence usually pays off, and you can often find a spot right in front of the restaurant. If you're looking to immerse yourself in Colombian culture or simply want to try something new, Tierra Colombiana Restaurant is the place to go. The broad menu ensures there's something for everyone, and the excellent staff and vibrant atmosphere make for an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended
