Sooo, after hearing the advertisement for "Charlie's Country Ribs" through 100.7 Everyyy dayyy, you can imagine how many times I've heard about their Ribs, sweet potato pie and potato salad! The subliminal kicked in, I put them on my "Black Owned Must Try" List! Now, I prefer "Short end" Ribs, i feel like they're smaller and more tender than the Long end...I was forced to try their Long end rib Platter with them being Sold Out of the Small...Oook, I specifically asked the lady ( I believe she said Denise) taking my order over the phone..."Are the Ribs fall off the bone/fork tender"!? SHE replied "Yes ma'am" my 2 sides were Cabbage/Mac and Cheese...Let's start with these sides. The Cabbage is definitely a NO GO! They're Bland, with no taste of seasoning at all! They're NOT Done enough for my taste!!! I'm a BAKED Macaroni and Cheese Coinnesouier!!! Believe me when I tel you, I do 5/7 Cheese BAKED Macaroni and Cheese!!! Theirs is A NO👎🏼 you see specks of pepper in it, that's it! It's just as BLAND!!! NOW let's Get into this Half of Slab Long End Ribs (5 bones) the 2 smaller of the 5 pieces were a little tender...meaning some of it was tender and the top portion of the bone wasn't (it was almost there) I should NOT have to pull on the meat to separate it from the bone! I knew that part wasn't tender just by the gristle, which was still WHITE (NOT TRANSLUCENT) As It Should be when it's COMPLETELY tender...The remaining larger 3 Ribs will be placed in the Oven to cook a little longer! The ribs weren't nasty, the mild sauce was just okay...I don't know what all the hoopla is about and they actually sell a Side of Potato salad for $8!!!!😒 NO, I passed on that and I'm glad that I did!!! Needless to say, I was disappointed 😞 with my first/last time...

My cousins and I drove all the way to this place from Delaware County we were really looking forward to trying their food after we had heard about them on the channel 6 FYI. When we arrived at this place it was a little before opening. We began looking at the outside menu to get an idea of what we wanted to order. The lady( I guess she's the owner) came out saying we're not open yet. We already knew that!!! Duh... But she continued to tell us we could order on line and that she's trying to get things together. She was so very rude. She acted like she didn't even want us to look at the outside menu. We were willing to wait until she opened. Her attitude was so nasty. We started to just leave and go elsewhere. But, because we came so far we just decided to order. I wish we would have just left when we started to. The ribs was tough and the cabbage was bland and the string beans had no seasoning and the yams was too sweet. My other cousin got turkey wings which she said she didn't like either. The prices were ridiculous!!! That was our first and last time there. No one needs to deal with people treating you rude when you're spending your money. We tried to patronize our black owned businesses and this what we got. I won't be recommending them to my family...

A relative ordered 1 rib sandwich and 1 small side of Macaroni & Cheese.
What went wrong? the lady served the 6 small ribs atop of two pieces of white bread
What went right? I asked the lady if she could add a few extra piece of bread on the side (so the bread does not get too soggy for our trip) The lady placed the extra slice of bread in a separate bag.
Pricing? My dad paid $21.50 The price was overvalued, for a few minuscule ribs not even a 1/2 of slab was served.
I recommend traveling the distance to anywhere but here. Like Dwights, Mr. Cees, Rib Crib. Saud's or Jersey
