China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I did not have a good experience. The first time I ordered was fair although they did not get my order right. I ordered Chinese vegetables with my fried shrimp and I was given broccoli. I am not a fan of broccoli. I did call to complain and someone sounding like he was in charge apologized but did not offer to compensate me. The spring roll was fair, the egg drop soup was delicious and the sweet tea was delicious. I got the lunch special and everything came to $18.00. I left a $3.00 tip and didn't even get a smile much less a thank you. On checking my monthly MasterCard I noted I was double billed and when I called for an explanation, I was hung up on after being told there was no manager on-site. I did get that straightened out and I did go back for a quart of egg drop soup which was delicious. I was only given one small package of their very delicious fried noodles. I declined the condiments but I asked for extra fried noodles which I was willing to pay for. For this five dollar order I gave a $1.00 tip. Still no thank you or even a smile. Twice now, on visits to Philadelphia, I have ordered delivery from this restaurant, and both times the food is plentiful, hot and delicious. When I order Crab Rangoon at any other place, I might get about 4 pieces. Here, I was pleasantly surprised to receive about a dozen in one order, with a good-sized container of sweet & sour sauce! Very nice Neighborhood Chinese take Restaurant, the counter lady is my friend and will go out her way to make sure that you are satisfied with your order, I have know. Her and her husband for 10 years. There wonton and chicken soups are the best and if you want to cut down on the salt just say wonton and no soy sauce. Ok all the food here are fresh and good.
