I could not believe how rude and unprofessional the OWNER was. I ordered a cheeseburger platter, cheese steak and cheese fries for delivery. Delivery took an hour and 20 minutes but that really wasnāt the issue. The problem was the steak and cheese fries were cold. The bread was soggy and the delivery guy kinda handled the food any ole way, so there was cheese and steak juice throughout the bag when I received the delivery. The cheeseburger platter was for my daughter and it was warm enough for her. My food however was COLD. So I called and told them that my food was cold (like I would do with ANY restaurant) and that Iāll come pick up a different cheesesteak. She had an extremely nasty tone, telling me it was Covid and that was the reasoning behind the slow service, which want even my issue. But she agreed to make another steak. I opened the cheese fries after making my complaint and they were also cold, damn near congealed into one big fry. So I just thought I could show the owner when I arrived to the store. She was VERY rude. Snatching food out of my hand, being aggressive, yelling and pointing her finger at me, accusing me of stealing when I took nothing. I made a suggestion! Like Iāve done to companies before in the case of subpar food and service. It got VERY UGLY VERY FAST. They gave me some subpar fries and I just suggested I take juices instead of the fries since they already had my money and refused to refund me. IāVE DONE THIS WITH OTHER BUSINESSES WITH NO ISSUES. Most restaurant owners recognize things happen and they do their best to remedy the issue. Not this unstable owner... The owner literally charged at me and was within a foots distance, yelling at me. She honestly seemed like she was having a mental break but that is no excuse to charge at a paying customer. If the business is too much to handle, maybe she should retire for her own benefit. Overall, this is not the way any business should be handled. Itās a shame that they treat their customers this way. You can see with the repeated complaints that this isnāt something I did in particular. The owner has a nasty history of being rude and doesnāt deserve any patronage with the way they treat their customers. Disgusting experience. Iāve NEVER experienced anything like this. I wouldnāt be surprised if theyāre doing deplorable things to the food when customers complain. Stay away. Dalessandros is way better anyway, taste and customer service. I hope the owner finds growth and peace because her violent outburst today shows the opposite. Unstable and untrustworthy. Blessings to her and her mental state.
SIDENOTE: my daughter just came downstairs and told me her burger was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe last time I ordered breakfast from here, the man told me it'd be 20 minutes. I got there 30 minutes later and he was just putting my food on the stove. So I waited an additional 10 for him to prepare it while I was there. I told him that if HE tells someone that their food will be ready by a certain time, then it should be ready when they get there. Seems like common sense in customer/food service but apparently not to him. I was very disappointed with how unprofessional the whole matter was and how inconsiderate he was of my time and decided that I wouldn't patronize the place anymore, but went against my better judgment today. I came back because the food is better than other places in the area. This morning omw to work I ordered an omelet. Again, he says 20 minutes. I gave him TWENTY ADDITIONAL MINUTES, just to assure that it'd be done. I get there, no other customers. No smell of food. He's cleaning, so I know he wasn't busy cooking. And what do I see. A bowl of UNYOKED EGGS sitting off to the side. He verified that I was the omelet order and once again, proceeds to cook my entire meal while I'm standing there. At this point I am livid. 40 total minutes I gave him. For eggs. I said "Are you JUST cooking this omelet ?" He could clearly see that I was upset and practically begins to stutter for an answer "Yes .. Well do you want the omelet or not ?" The nerve he had, almost catching an attitude with me about my dissatisfaction, as if he has no idea how BAD he looked JUST STARTING on an order that has been placed 40 minutes earlier, that HE said would only take 20, right in front of the customer ! Ridiculous ! Of course I declined, not only because I was floored by how ridiculously unprofessional he was, but also because I had already waited long enough and just didn't have the time. It's a shame when you want so badly to give certain places your business but can't, simply because you can't rely on them to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do not recommend using Mt airy deli due to the lack of customer service . I have been a long time customer of Mt airy deli since they opened in the 90's . I have shopped here since Day 1 when they opened .
Today I arrive back in Philadelphia after being in New York and called in an order to Mt Airy Deli . I came in to pay for the order. I Get home and noticed that the order was incorrect and immediately called . I ordered a surf and turf cheesesteak yet I get home and open up salmon on a cheesesteak roll . I was then told that is what I ordered and that the person who took the order read it back to me .
Clearly it is not what I ordered and never heard the mention of any salmon. I donāt even eat salmon !!! There for the order is incorrect . I would not have been calling with an issue on the order. Yet the argument continued with telling me that is what I ordered . So i was then told that In order for me to get another sandwich I would now need to pay for another one . Please note that the one I picked up was $17.99 and I was overcharged in the first place as I did not even order SALMON . Additionally i ordered other food . So now I am here with something I can not even eat . Not good at all.
So with that being said, basic customer service has been lost at this deli . I will not be patronizing this restaurant any longer in Mt airy and do not advise anyone looking for good customer experience to do...
